Husband and I went to the Smoky Mountain Vapers Vape Meet in Knoxville yesterday. They had a great turn out and did a wonderful job with the organization of the event!

We met Cags, TennDave, DougieStyle and his wife, and chatted with quite a few other folks.

Everyone was so nice.

TennDave, thanks so much for letting me check out the REOs I don't have. :) And also a big thank you for the drip tip and battery checker!

They had loads of prizes and I think just about everyone in attendance walked away with goodies. Next time I'm taking all my non-loved juices for their "take it or leave it" bar.

At one point I was sitting at a table sipping some beer and using my VVGrand with a Reomizer when folks at the table behind me came over to see what was creating the voluminous clouds of vapor. I was more than happy to do a show and tell!

There were a few people there who didn't know what the REOs were and I tried to be a good ambassador. :)

If you were in the area and didn't go to the meet, you missed out! There is another in April, then they will be organizing them every other month. You don't have to live in TN to attend.

Fantastic news! Sounds like it was a blast!
I always get a little jealous when reading about other vape meets. I've always wanted to attend one, but our schedule makes it really difficult to make it to the ones down in the metropolitan areas. Hopefully, we'll be able to get one going soon up closer to home not only to serve my selfish needs, but also to satisfy the Canadian vaping population since we're so close to the border.

Just last Friday, I met with a client and her friend at ecigexpress for a mini meet, so-to-speak. They're new to vaping and are excited about all the benefits...and their husbands are jumpin on board too. So we hung out in their lounge area for a bit and I too, got a lot of attention because of my Reos. It always makes me uncomfortable to a degree, because I don't want to detract from their business out of common courtesy, but the staff has always been very welcoming to me regardless of what I'm puffing on.

@ Unsure - It's a long walk that's for sure! If you have any local ones, it's worth it to check them out.

@ Rhaps - Very nice with the mini-meet. My local B&M Rocky Top Vapor is great. I could even sell a REO there if I decided I wanted to upgrade. I've seen a couple people who frequent the store with REOs now. I'm not an anomaly anymore.

It was a great time. Beer was good, company was warm and vapor plumed! This is a smoke-free state, too ;) I liked how the crew at Tin Roof didn't give anyone guff about vaping within the enclosed area. I'm sure they couldn't afford over 100 vapers gettin pissy lol. I think everyone met someone new they could hang with and feel comfortable.

Dimitris from VPLive Vape Team drove up to be with us along with a good showing of vendors. 50 door prizes with some really nice shwag, too! Random prize drawing beer-pong style. When your ticket was drawn, you bounced a ping-pong ball into a cup. Cups were randomly numbered to coincide with prizes. It was totally luck of the draw.

Lynda, my wife, enjoyed your company, CAT! Thanks for helping to make her feel welcome among us vapers. :toast:
