I am thinking that when one smokes or vapes there is a method of breathing that relaxes oneself. I would like to hear other people's opinions as to whether they get relaxed from vaping because of the method of breathing whether MTL or DL. When I said addictive in the thread title, I meant addictive in the sense that being that vaping relaxes you want more, so in a good sense.

I tried to do research on this but was only able to find one article and it only talks about it in the beginning of it.

New research reveals breathing pattern of smokers deepens the addiction

That article refers to cigarette addiction and I'm comparing it to vaping, being that vaping has similar breathing techniques. I'm trying to show how vaping relaxes one's self from the breathing part too. What do fellow vapers think about this?

You mean that first draw from your cig or vape. That's the most satisfying feeling after a long time of being without. Same as when you break open a cold one on a hot summer day. Or when you're starving and take your first bite of food. I don't know about any breathing sequence that is associated with being addicted. But that's what I would compare vaping to.

I wonder if one can get dependent on overthinking thus over reading about the addictive or non addictive nature of vaping vs smoking. :)

I decided a very long time ago to make a decision and stick to it instead of second guessing myself. Most online articles tend to make one over think or maybe second guess themselves. I decided to relax and enjoy the journey.

Addictive or habit forming, vaping has been shown to be at least 95% less harmful than smoking.

I DON'T think that the deep breathing techniques used in either smoking or vaping "deepens" the addiction, however, even without either smoking or vaping the act of getting away from it all (such as at work) and sitting in a quiet place and taking deep relaxing breaths over a period of several minutes, is highly contributive to the lessened overall stress of a smoker or a vaper compared to their (more uptight) non smoking counterparts.

But I dont think that there is any correlation between addiction and the stress relief that going to a quiet place and doing some deep breathing provides. A non smoker/ non vaper could do the same thing, and have the same benefit overall, without being "addicted".

Now, you could say stress relieving techniques in general are habit forming, but I would say the brain simply enjoys and promotes those things which lessen or relieve stress, as a general rule, once it figures out a technique has merit, in all people, vapers, smokers, and non smokers alike.

Sometimes I feel like Im on Punk'd. Seems like every thread is about addiction.
I'm addicted to breathing....Yes. I already knew that. Addicted to vaping because of how I breathe while vaping? Come on.
I really didn't mean to focus on the addiction aspect. I just meant that the method of breathing is a relaxer. For vaping it's like an added bonus. There are times that I go on long bicycle rides and when I get to sit down, I will drink some water but then vape MTL and within seconds my body temperature returns to normal. I stop the sweating and can feel the real temperature of the weather that day. Obviously this can be achieved without electronic cigarettes but it's an added bonus for vapers.

I'm wasn't sure if vaping made breathing addictive so to test I put down my vape and to my surprize I just kept breathing. Oh god now I'm addicted to breathing.

Probably the most relaxing thing about smoking and now vaping is that I almost always find myself alone as nobody wants to breath what I'm breathing. Being alone, with the family inside and me out, is always relaxing.
