Hey, I wanted to invite all of you to the benefit show we have been working on tirelessly for the last two months. the last week has been alot of work to bring you a fun great show.

It will be tonight, Friday August 27th, 2010 at 8pm.

WoofStock - A benifit show for Home Fur-Ever Animal rescue
Magic Stick
4120 Woodward
Detroit, MI

There is the poster for the show.

This will be a night of fun with live band performances, a raffle/silent auction, and door prizes!

Odayin, Switchblade Justice, Medicine Letter, The John Davies Problem, The Starlights, Front of Resistance & Woodman are donating their talents for the evenings entertainment.

This is an all-ages show.

You will be supporting the dogs and puppies of Home Fur-Ever, local artists and musicians.

$10 (minimum donation) at the door, cash bar, fun and friends.

We will be printing WoofStock t-shirts at the show! If you bring your own shirt, we will print it for a small donation. (Print is in yellow.) We will have shirts in various colors, styles, and sizes available to purchase as well for $8.

We had some really great prizes donated. Also, some really sweet art and jewelery for the silent auction. I will consider the wheelbarrow of booze to be the grand prize. ($300 full.) Wine baskets. Beer selections. $500 at Gardner White. About 100 items all together.

If you can make it down to Midtown Detroit (Wayne State area), I and the dogs I work for will appreciate it very very much!

Kookie, That is so freaking cool! I wish it wasn't tonight. I at least wish I had heard about this a few weeks ago. Caring for animals says a lot about a person's character. I never met an animal lover that I didn't like.
Me, on the other hand, I don't care for fuzzy critters much. If you don't believe me ask my 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 dwarf rabbits.

Oh, YOU'RE the person in Michigan who has a job. :p

Ah, hahaha. Isn't that the ugly truth. I am super over tired, but when I read that I had to respond cause that is too funny. But true. Well, it's a temp job working on an art film. A friend of mine hooked me up. It will be a very sureal experence being a Matthew Barney film. The scene we're working on is for the latest installment for Khu. They will be melting 30 tons of metal in five huge copula's in 45 minutes. It will be quite intense. I could give you the inside scoop if you wanted. So, yeah, some interesting work for a little over a month. I am glad to get out of debt for a change. Maybe buy some new vape stuff I need.

That sounds crazy Kookie. Any chance you'd be coming to the White lake thing in October? I'd like to hear about that first hand. I love alternative cinema when it's not too self indulgent. The wife and I used to go to DFT screenings at the DIA years ago. Saw some good stuff. Sat through some crap too. Y'know how that goes.

Uhg, I'm off to an adoption and I am very late and still tired. The espresso roast coffee and the Nick & Johnny snus helps. I don't care, I can be late today and take my time. (I have two fosters.)

Well, it went Ok. We certainly we're hoping for better. We only made about 2500 when we really wanted 10k. Everyone was super nice. It was a very very nice show. All the bands were great and really nice people. Someone donated to me their Homedics back massager they won because I was in such agony. Lol. We learned alot of things for the next show. We need to write it down. Like I must have proper rest before the show so that I don't complain too much. Lol.

Yes, mistinthewoods, you are the type of person that is so perfect at adoptions. Marilyn would adopt to you in a heartbeat I'll bet. She has been very selective in the past few years. Actually ...... alot of people off, but we have to find to right home for these dogs. Ok, well I'm off... Coffee break is over.

You will all have to come next year! I insist, lol. I guarantee you will have a good time because this was a very nice show. Jessica who did the donated prizes and raffles did a superb job.

Oooh, I slept all day. It was wonderful.

Yeah I may come in Oct. The last one I was flat broke. I would enjoy it very much. I do have new tires now too, so I won't be nervous about going out there.

<feeling guilty for not checking forum more often. If anyone hears of a red Siberian Husky boy no older than 10 weeks looking for a forever mommy, daddy, 2 legged sister and 4 legged sister let me know.

We do have a husky mix. (She is very cute!) I am not the foster so I couldn't tell you much about her other than I see her at adoptions. She is not red and not a pure breed, but needs a home. Or you can look on Petfinder for other huskys that need you guys.

Adoptable Labrador Retriever: Daffney: Petfinder

Thanks! :D
