Nic isn't really the problem. It's out of your system in hours. But it all the other stuff and as others said..the comfort, the habit, the hand to mouth that's hard to beat. This is why patches and gum don't work..They don't address the whole problem! I can quit vaping now...if i wanted. I went 4 days without one craving for anything. But I like the flavors and it keeps me from snacking (diabetics shouldn't snack...lol) I don't care if the nic is there or not..out of habit I keep ordering 11mg or 4 mg..but my homemade is 0 nic.

Hey there JJ!

Mickey, Just hang in there! There is hope for us. The trick is to stay with the forum as long as possible. It really helps to have this safty net of wonderful people!

Mary Kay, I think you hit that one dead on. The support that we get here is just one of the tools that we must use to help us stay away from smoking. I may not post to the forums for a week or two because I have nothing to add, but I check the forum several times a day, and that little check-in is enough to make me pick up the e-cig instead of heading out to the store to buy a pack of smokes. Chances are that I will never meet any of you in real life, but please know that each and every post in this forum is like a personal message that helps keep me away from smoking.

You said it. Vapors Anonymous! Notice the "it's been X months and Y days since my last cigarette" banners everywhere. :)

Ditto. Every now and then, I reread my first thread because of all the wonderful, supportive, and helpful comments from everyone. It keeps me going.
