An old thread got me playing around with the idea of using gutted 808 cartons and 808 to 510 adapters to make really small rebuildable dripping atomizers. (I'll post the link if I can find it again.)

Anyway, it wasn't long before I got the idea that I could create a genesis style atomizer by extending the positive post and running it through the center of the mesh.

A good idea in theory but it did take a few prototypes before I was able to get something really stable... Who'd have thought that running a steel post thought a steel wick and wrapping in a steel wire would be so tough to keep from shorting...

Anyway my latest attempt seems to be working well and seems to remain fairly stable so I figured I'd share it with anyone who's interested. Here are some pics...

Yea... I see you added a Caravela to the line up... Well done sir!
How is it compared to the Precise?
You grabbing up an ELA?

I got the Caravela as a "My Final PV" that would stay on the shelf. But, i haven't used anything else since i got it in the mail.
I bought it because it comes from the same country of origin as i do. ;)
Only found out about the hype, 2 months after i put myself on the list... Would have bought a second one, had i known they were going to be this popular.

The Precise is going up on the Classifieds soon.
It hits just as well as the Caravela, but It looses in button design and size...
Caravela is shorter in length to its P+ counterpart, and the P+ button needs to be cleaned more often.
I would have to clean the switch on the Precise every few days, where the Caravela's switch gets gummed up after 2 weeks of use.

Not interested in the ELA as i have all 3 tube sizes(18350, 18500, 18650) for the Caravela, and the ELA would just be redundant.

Going to simplify my Collection to only the Caravela & REDDS. :2cool:

But i wont stop buying shiny accessories for either one of my kits

When I started shopping for my first mechanical, I was actually looking at buying a P+ but was wavering back and forth between the 350 & 500...

When I saw the ELA, it was actually the 1st telescoping design that didn't look like a bunch of screwed together pipe fittings. Good looks, good size, good price and flexible... and it looked like I could get it into my hands faster than either of the fixed P+s... So I pulled the trigger.

As for the Caravella, I think it has the best form factor of any devise out there. Simple clean lines and not much bigger than the battery that's in it. If I could put my hands on a brass/brass set for less than a mortgage payment, I'd be all about it. As it stands now, I just can't justify spending the kind of $ people are selling them for... assuming one comes up for sale.

May look into getting onto a list to buy directly from Pedro... Who knows?
