hey.. i was at a little discount store here in my city today and found something i think might be of interest to a modder... or even a store...here is a link.

those little black duracell boxes .... they even have a little light and lanyard thingy in the corner.. they come in a box of two.. with four duracell batteries and two connectors on for chargeing reg mini usb device.. one for charging ipod devices...
i can buy these for 2.00 for two of the complete packages that means four boxes and four connectors and eight battieries.. for two bucks! I wanted the batts so i bought two... i got eight batteries and four of these little boxes.. would someone like three of the boxes and wires... i would give them to you if you sent me a self addressed stamped envelope i would say 1.50 on the envelope would get them to you.... I dont want anything for these three i would just go ahead and mail em to you......... BUT would someone like me to go buy another twenty packages of these...lol they could make eighty mods... you would have to paypal me the money.. i would GO get them.. then i would package them up.. most likly in flat rate shipping box you would pay for and mail them back to you...
IF YOU THINK THESE LOOK LIKE SOMETHING YOU WANT PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS SOON AS YOU CAN CAUSE THEY WONT LAST LONG THERE.. I DID ASK THO.. THEY SAID THEY HAVE BEEN ON SALE FOR THAT FOR THE LAST WEEK.... Hmm, that's curious. Do those appear to be regular, 1.5 V each Duracell AA batteries?

Because if they are, then that would mean those batteries in series are supplying 3 V. Which means that box would have to have a voltage upstepping circuit built right in to supply the 5 V DC output from 2 AA 1.5 V's. And that's probably what's sitting inside the upper box that appears sealed.

Output is 5v @ .5 amps. I like the size of this. It would make a great little mod. May even be room for a booster & a juice bottle. It's got a boost circuit in it, but my experience with these(boost circuits) is that they won't put out enough current to fire an atty. Still, a 14500 or two, this has potential.

i got them at a liquidation store in our city.. two of those packages in the link.... for 1.99 .. thats eight batts .. four of those little cables.. and four of the boxes.. for 2.00 LOL that rocks... so i figured i would buy a couple bring em home.. and see if anyone wanted em.. since i wanted the batteries!!!! but with the response between here and the ECF chat room full of people i think i am just gonna go buy them all... that way a few people who would like to try a new mod can get them for the same price just gotta pay shipping too! and you can try making your own mod!

conman.. i am gonna go tomorrow and see how many i can get.. im gonna post it in here and we are gonna share... i will make sure everyone i heard from today gets some of them.. will figure out how many everyone wants.. and go from there.. please if you answer me back on this... any of you that wanted some.. just tell me how many.. if you want the batteries or the wires that come with the kit... and how your gonna send me your part.. i wont charge you nothing.. nothing but exactly what they cost.. you all know i got two packages for 2.00 so ... if you want four boxes its two bucks plus what shipping we decide is cheapest. if you want more let me know.. some people already told me i could keep the batteries so i know im getting something out of this but.. i also hope someone will show me thier mod from these i would love to see one..and know how to do one myself!!!!! this is gonna be fun.. maybe you can show them made and decorated.. i want to do mine if i figure it out.. by taking the word charger off and changing it to orange letters that say cloud. so it will say duracell personal cloud!!! that would be cute!!!

hiya geezer yup your close.. and i see your a old car lover too.. i have a 66 Ford Fairlane! my betty ford! yes these are cute little boxes tho.. i knew other people would like to try em too. specially when they are so cheap.. thats 50 cents a box.. im sure the stuff inside is worth that just for taking out and putting in anything they are moddin. you might fit in in the ecf livechat room ..its quite fun theres a couple of washingtonians in there you might be happy to meet. hey nice to meet you and happy vapin!
