I think we have a nice idea for a decent e-pipe, it will take 4-6 months though to develop this, bear with us pls.... we have other new stuff coming in June!
I hope you are building on a full crook design. Although I would try a straight stem if it has a good replaceable atomizer

Manual switch only would be fine with me as I still have bad thoughts of entering the room only to see my DSE-601 light on and atty fried from that auto switch.

I don't think we can blame an automatic switch for the problems with the 601... more like bad design...
I trust that Mik and Ludo could make an auto switch that wouldn't have the problems that the 601 had.
Personally, I would rather have an automatic switch as I like to smoke my pipe mostly hands free.

How about a modular unit design that allows a user to customize the type of design that suits them. By this I mean, a straight stem can be made into a crook by using a different bowl or stem, or an auto switch which can be switched with a manual switch. Or the ability to add different length stems or larger/smaller bowls.
I have a mini pipe and I have an auto bowl and a manual bowl for it. I use whichever one suits my mood. I think its great to be able to switch out or mix-n-match while still using the same basic design and without having to buy a complete other kit. It would be nicer if I could find wood grain parts or different colors but I'm pretty much stuck with white or black in the minipipe.
I'm sure you've already got a design in the works so I hope I'm not causing you any grief by adding in ideas at the last minute.

I'd personally squeal with girlish glee if janty made a good quality epipe as I would personally love to own one that I could trust to be reliable and cool looking! I also know a couple of friend's parents who smoke a pipe and would be interested in an epipe.

With the new 'big' eGo atomizers, carts & cartos being released it seems all we need is the eGo battery to be encased in a pipe form factor and our wish for a Janty e-pipe would be granted.

Well, I think he is better physically, with his hands than I am.. I mean you should see some of his handcut Pipes.. you know a hand holding a rose etc - man.. insanely beautiful. I couldnt do that.
But give me a computer, and I will fix it
I dont have any of his pipes here, but check this out: He made this, using a regular butterknife, in a day - its cut out of a big piece of soap - sorry about the picture quality my mobile sucks. But you get the idea
