Wow, what a thread. I haven't finished but was told to post pics of mods made with the DNA40 boards from the co-op.
I just finished the 2nd one with the large screen (what a PITA!).
Here's a small screen in a Hana Mini clone from FT:
I had a bad charging board so I had to take everything out again so it's a mess inside so I didn't take pics.
Here's a large screen in a Cloupor DNA30 enclosure. I dremel'd the window for the screen. Measuring and fitting the screen in the window took hours. Like 3 hours fitting it in. My old eyes love the larger screen.
The large screen has atty lock rather than power button lock.

OK a little preview. I got the bug to try something out. While not a DNA40 from the recent thing. How bought a DNA25 I bought while we were waiting for the recent thing

Why didn't you just say so! There is a really cool one brewing on facebook. DNA40, also comes with an optional RDA extension. The most interesting thing that is an option for it for me is an attachment called the "Hypersquonk" that goes between the atty and mod. Makes the SBS into a squonker.
I need to get back on Shapeways, I could have sworn I saw an SbS 3d printed dna mod.

Browsing Shapeways for some DNA40 chip and screen cradles to use in a couple of wood box mods I am working out. (hate glue/epoxy/stuffs)

at 90mm still pretty tall for my taste - i'll let mike take a look
i see no buttons though and all that other stuff that came with bap's design 
Yeah, they did not have a "complete kit" listed either. From the cutouts they are using the tactile buttons on the DNA version
