After using the big screen DNA40, I couldn't leave my mini with the small screen so I put my last big screen in there.

I found the display window doesn't need to be taller, just longer (25mm).

I also spent a little more time with the internals but there's only so much you can do in such a small space.

The small screen will go into an orange Cloupor enclosure I have.

Anyone that wants a dna board, make sure you get in on Mike's co-op. He was on top of things the whole 6 months :p. Ok, it was only 2 months but it felt like 6 and it wasn't his fault at all. It probably would've taken longer if he didn't crack the whip . Thanks again Mike!!!!

Thanks again for doing the co-op Mike, I got the one built and others are still printing :)

I also saw that many(1/3) didn't leave feed back..... IDK if this might be why, but in my first co-op with Tibs, I didn't know about the feedback, nor how to leave it. Hope no one would be like that especially after all the work (EXTRA WORK) you put into it for us.

Wow, what a thread. I haven't finished but was told to post pics of mods made with the DNA40 boards from the co-op.

I just finished the 2nd one with the large screen (what a PITA!).

Here's a small screen in a Hana Mini clone from FT:

I had a bad charging board so I had to take everything out again so it's a mess inside so I didn't take pics.

Here's a large screen in a Cloupor DNA30 enclosure. I dremel'd the window for the screen. Measuring and fitting the screen in the window took hours. Like 3 hours fitting it in. My old eyes love the larger screen.
The large screen has atty lock rather than power button lock.

Thanks again Mike!!! :thumbs::toast:

Wow, this thread grew quickly! Well I guess I'll be missing some content but there is always search. :)

Well I decided to go ahead with putting the large screen in the Hana clone. I removed the old board today, wow what a cobb job they did when they made it! Here is how they soldered the Pos battery wire to the board. I'm going to leave that wire in place seeing how it was working OK in case I decide to use the board in something else later.

KTM, looking at the pic of your full size Hana with the large screen, did you have to widen the hole or just make it longer?

I made it wider and longer on the blue. You don't have to make it wider, just longer. The window on my mini was just longer (to 25mm edge to edge). Height was perfect.

I just measured my 3 other Cloupor DNA30 enclosure windows and they're 7.63mm tall. My Mini clone from FT is 7.5mm. My FC Hana clone (KSD) is 7.76mm. The display on the large screen is 6mm tall and 22.4mm long from the edge of the battery to the "W". I used an "L" shaped piece of plastic cut from a cd case to align the screen to the window. I got that idea from how Cloupor put their small screens in their clones.

I like the idea of using the "L" shaped piece of plastic cut from a cd case to align the screen, I'll do that! I was thinking along the same line of something I could cut to make a bracket that the other edges of the board to set on and keep it above the screen. I'd have to cut two pieces, put one on each side to come up the side and be thick enough so the edges of the board would rest on them, I'll find something around here I can use.

Looks like you took the left snap off rail from the board to keep the board in line with the off set screen, is that correct?

Trucker, That is awesome the way you converted and utilized the space in the cab! Did you build over the passenger seat or take it out? Geez, if you ever get pulled over by the man and they look inside they are going to be scratching their heads LoL.

I took the passenger seat out.

The reason for the "L" shape was to make it easier to place the screen. I filed the inside part to center the screen.

I ended up snapping off both rails. They're scored so fairly easy to snap off. I need the space to clear the buttons. It's a tight fit in those mini's. I left them on for my full sized Hana clones but I did have to sand down the sides a bit to fit.

I replaced everything in the enclosure. I used a VariTube spring loaded 510, C&K switches, silicone wires (20g and 24g) Evolv charging board and DNA40 lg screen. The first charging board was defective so I had to re-install another one.

I've been using it for the last few days and I like it almost as much as my VS rDNA40, maybe more. I now have 4 DNA40 mods and 1 more board and I can't see myself using a non-TP device from now on.
