that looks awesome jonniemac!
would you share your model for that? i started playing around with cad 123d design and would really like to see how to construct such a thing and later print it as well, as my first 3d print :) cant think of a better application for a 3d printer...

I've released the .stl files for the basic mod so others can print it at home and they can be downloaded from links you'll find here.

I'm not releasing the working cad files or .stl files for any of the other designs. Sorry.

Are you talking about the one at this thread?

If so, that is a complete mod that doesn't use any parts from a Hammond box.

Bapgood has designed several replacement doors for various sizes of Hammond enclosures 1590A, 1590B and 1590G I believe.
No, this one. I really liked this design since it makes it where you could potentially put a DNA into almost any box.

That didn't quite pan out like I hoped. I came up with a new system of screen cradles that can use one, or none, of two optional snap clamps. The first clamp just secures the screen in the cradle. The second one secures the screen and then piggybacks the DNA chip on the back. I'm on my iPad and don't have a picture handy or I'd post one. Will try to remember tomorrow. If you search DNA20 or DNA30 on shapeways a lot of interesting stuff should pop up. My name there is the same as here on ECF.

Here is a small album of the new design of screen cradles with optional clamps. As well as my charging cradles. If anyone has questions just shoot me a private message. Don't want to add any more about anything but the coop and Tibs mods to this thread.

Thanks :)

Here's mine - 1st attempt on the right. 1590a with panasonic PF 2900mah. I screwed up with the dremel and took a gash out of the black coating on the lid. Now brushed aluminum with a belt sander :).

2nd on the left - 1590B with dual LG HE2's. The first board had an issue and I didn't realize it until it was fully together. 1.5 hours later new board installed and up and running. Brandon's totally taking care of me though and has already issued an RMA. I used a light pipe out of hot glue for the 1a micro-usb charger. Works awesome!

Bap, thank you for everything you do. The screen bezel's, they are awesome. I also just ordered one of your Pancho's for my next project. Mike and Tibs, thank you very much for the DNA 30 co-op/parts.

After receiving the items last Fri and working on it every now and then when i'm free after work, finally completed the DNA box mod..Sure is challenging to mount all into such a tight space & also working on that box using my dremel(Handheld with that extension)..Running on a single 18650 Sony VTC 4..The angel eye ring on the firing button lights up(Got that figure out after some experiment)

Much thanks to Mike for helping me to get the various items and providing valuable advice when i have some question. And also to mamu for the button, screen placement which i printed out to drill the holes with.

Next up, to setup that Taifun GT clone which i got a few weeks back in anticipation for this box mod..

Nice looking mod! Where did you get that switch?
