I stumbled onto this thread and couldn't help myself to order a box. Here is what I got so far..

1x Dome Button Set in Stainless Steel
1x Tibs mod - Dual 18650 - Battery Tray in White Strong & Flexible
1x Tibs Mod - Dual 18650 - Back in Black Strong & Flexible
1x Obround - Tibs Mod - Dual 18650 - FD510 - Case in Black Strong & Flexible

Atmistique has DNA30D boards in stock so I grabbed one (along with an EVIVA) and a charging board from Evolv.

Big question is what 510 should I use? I have some Chi clones that am thinking might be able to be modded to fit or should I wait for the one talked about in the Co-Op?

Am I missing anything and how long does it take to get the parts from Shapeway?

Can't wait to get everything and begin the building!

Shapeways generally takes 2-4 weeks.

If you bought the Tibs Mod then it was made to use a Fat Daddy 510 talked about in the thread.

Do check out the Tibs Mod co-op interest thread.

You will need the special battery contacts for the battery holder.
Speaking of which, did you order the battery holder? I think it may be a separate part.

You will also want fuses.

Do check out these 2 threads, all the info you need can be found in them.

No doubt there will be, but are the dimensions the same as the original that the design is built around! I know the coop version will work Bap will make it :D
I think they will work with the existing Mod on Shapeways. Even better in fact, as the new FD510s wont need to be modified like the first ones were designed to be.

The new FD510 will actually have a bigger diameter head, so it won't be a drop in replacement. I thought Dennis said he would be getting in some more of the original connectors, I will have to check with him on that.

But remember the original FD510 does need to be modified to fit in the Tibs mod.

popped into my brain. But does look like a mighty small handful. lol. Maxed out would probably only gotten half the way to Alpha Centaury, and kirk never would of had to save earth.

Finally got this project together. :) I gave a sneak peak earlier, but here is the completed mod. DNA 30 from the first co-op and the body is Shapeways printed. I airbrushed with jet black acrylic and finished it with polyurethane. I used an unmodified Fatdaddy 510 and whole mess of cool parts to make the connections for the removable top. Its only a first prototype, but I'll post up details if anybody is interested.
