Yep all fixed! And for those people who are still building and have a temperature gauge on their soldering iron, just about 660F worked much better for me with 60/40 solder. I was about 100 degrees lower and that was my soldering problem, glad i didnt fry anything heating it sooooo loooonnngg
. But that what extra parts were for!!!I knew i didnt suck that bad at soldering although its been a while.
i cant wait to unleash the beast.
so i get a soldering equipment from a friend of mine. and believe me, i solder it by myself. it is super ugly.
almost burned the battery tray when i try to tinn the contact. hahaha.
i have a question.
is there any consequences if i use it as it is without a coating?
any idea how can i lock the wattage without the UP wattage button?

At the National Art Gallery , in Dublin Ireland , a Canadian couple were
staring at a portrait that had them completely confused.
The painting depicted three black men, totally naked, sitting on a park
bench.
Two of the figures had black penises but the one in the middle, had a pink
penis.
The curator of the gallery realized that they were having trouble
interpreting the painting and offered his assessment.
He went on for over half an hour explaining how it depicted the sexual
emasculation of the black man in a predominately white, patriarchal society.
"In fact," he pointed out, "some serious critics believe that the pink penis
also reflects the cultural and sociological oppression experienced by gay
men in contemporary society."
After the curator left, an Irish man approached the couple and said, "Would
you like to know what the painting is really about?"
"Now why would you claim to be more of an expert than the curator of the
gallery?" asked the husband.
"Because I'm the guy who painted it." he replied.

coal miners.

i believe mike said it'll be locked at the 30 watt setting ...... and without a protective coating it'll get grubby real fast. the material is porous and will absorb the oil from your skin - once it's oily it'll attract dust and dirt. spray on at least one coat of satin clear, you don't have to take it apart -
Yes as Tibs mentioned, the nylon texture is absorbent and will soak up finger oils and juice. Eventually it will look bad.
Why do you "need" to lock the wattage? Does the down button lower it? I dont understand the failure mode of the UP button.
You could always just glue the plastic part of the down button so that it cant be pressed, or file off the nipple on the back side of the plastic button. That wouldnt "lock" it but it would prevent the down button from being pressed.

and no use asking what wattage people are using, eros start low, maybe around 8 watts, and increase little by little till you find the spot where your juice tastes the best. it probably will differ from juice to juice and it will also depend on the atty you're using!

the lost button has finally been replaced, still needs a new paint job... but it's working correctly now i may clear it just like it is...

Wasnt last night shes having some wierd contractions where they come and go... Really frustrating for her... Prodromal labor is whst its called i believe
Would it be a bad thing to add to my signature that I am a proud owner of a Tibs2 by Bap? Blatant bragging? This thing is fantastic. still. more so even.
P.S. I found a use for the 30 watts that are available.. I got a new dripper and had a friend set it up with dual monster coils. 26g wire @ 18 wraps per coil on a 1/8th bit. You could drive a freight train through those coils. It really takes a while to heat them up.
