Tired of the black burnt Wick? I'm keeping my SX350j. I would really like a single 18650 3D printed enclosure for it. No luck finding a nice one Yet :(
I'm going to remove it from taking to work detail and bring my BRD 1300 to work instead :)
Teemu (maker of the Boxer) was working on a single cell SX box similar to the Boxer.

I like the design, but the walls look thin to me. It looks like 2mm to me...let us know the wall thickness when you receive it.

Has to be 2mm based on the volume. Only way to get a cheaper print. I do think that 2mm should be fine with gusseting.

It's about $80 for the 3 parts for that mod but I was talking about this one (not available anywhere):

I have 2 Zephyrus's. There nice tanks. Definitely lung hitters, the RBA deck is a little small to work on. The top fill works nicely, I still never tried the pre built coils for it.
I think it's a nice option, If your out and about for long periods of time you can bring a spare pre built coil just in case :) The design is a little off, it can be hard to take it apart, You have to spin the glass off while it rubs the orings and it's tight
The tank capacity is a little small, it goes through juice like crazy.
Over all it's a pretty good tank :)

I use one as my current tank. Only sub ohm tank that I have and I think it's awesome. The top fill, the dual setup on the build deck, the air adjustment...they all work nicely. Steamer is definitely right though...it will go through juice like crazy, but that's because it's meant as a sub ohm tank. Haven't used the coils either, but I keep one in my vape bag (Maxpedition Fatty) just in case.

Well I've been using the Zephyrus for a couple days, really LOVE the flavor! But.... the leaking from the prebuilt heads is disappointing, I tried both the kanthal and the nickle, I vape 80 VG- 20 PG. The air flow is massive, if you put a hose one the air intake you could subba dive and easily breath through this thing! But the flavor really kicks in at the half way mark for the juice, coil ad wattage I'm using. I haven't tried building the RBA deck yet and most likely won't until I need to replace the head, the prebuilt nickle head is very impressive! Although I hate the thought of dishing out $4-5 for a head, if it last long enough I just might consider it. I don't plan on making this my all day vaping atty so we'll see, I'm not a fan of building coils and wicking anymore then I have too.

It amazes me where vaping has taken me and I still find it hard to believe I'm using a DAN200 with a sub-ohm tank with nickle coils, never ever dreamed that would happen. Yesterday I stopped by the local shop I been frequenting the last few years, there is one young guy there I kind of got to be friendly with and asked him if he had seen the 200 yet. Well he flipped out over it, he went and brought the owner out to check it out, he went nuts over it, before I knew it everyone was standing around checking it out. They wanted to see the inside, they brought me a screw driver and I let them check it out, the owner asked me if I would build some for them to sell, the whole response by everyone really took me by surprise but I think they were all surprised to see me, this old guy, walk in with something like that after being a pro tank and isitck customer.

Leaking from the pre built heads? disappointing :(
I have never tried the ones I got with mine. I do how ever like the RBA section and no leaking from that :)
Glad to hear you like the Zephyrus :)
Enjoy your celebrity status at the B&M :)

Gusseting would help with strength and stability, but not external fire/puncture protection. Fine Polyamide PA 2200 (Shapeway's Strong and Flexible nylon plastic) has a melt temperature of 80°C and a flash point of 350°C. Ideally, walls should be thick enough to prevent external fire threats or punctures from quickly encroaching upon the battery compartment. Realistically I'm less concerned with the external fire issue, but a too thin wall is more of a concern for a battery puncture during a drop event. Most of my designs are using primarily 4mm walls (with some 3mm spots for fitment purposes) and I definitely notice the increased cost. For my own use, I won't go with anything less than 3mm...unfortunately the cost is dramatically increased as you've pointed out. However, the reduction in cost isn't worth it to me to go with 2mm walls since I am certain that I'll drop a mod at some point. :)

OK So I have been a bit slow on making mods but here you go.

From one (or more) of Mike's co-ops

DNA40 Big Screen Squonker and DNA200 with 3s 1300mah lipo using the on chip buttons

Nice job! Love the two tone wood, the black face lends well and the brass buttons just finish it off nicely.

Those are from Floris Delfino in Italy. The squonker has a veneer applied to the faceplate he provides. The DNA200 is one of the two faceplates he provided with it. Those both just have a few coats of Danish Oil on them. I have several more that I am doing with alcohol based stains then danish oil and wax. Good price for the enclosures. in the 20 to 30$ range on them.

He did a run of 5 wanting feedback. Wire routing was an issue on these I drilled some not so pretty holes in it to show him where to holes need to go. New run coming soon. If you facebook look at his product page he announces info there. They are designed to use vamo button actuators. You can get them from UK mod supply houses. Or you can do like I did and give the picture from stealth vape with the dimensions to a machinist and ask nicely for buttons :)

Were the holes too small or were they non-existent?

The little round holes were his. I think for some reason he assumed the mounting holes on the board were for power in and out. The holes for the landing pads for power were non-existent. All in all it was no biggie. I had the drill press set up for something else at work or I would have done a neater job. I have a cross slide for the drill press. One hour for lunch does not give me a lot of time for retooling, plus it was friday, the danish oil was dry and I wanted to vape it this weekend :)
