Just thought we could have a thread showing all the different attys and build configurations we're playing with when we mill down our catch cups, or ask Rob for that version of REO. Turbo-cad is the person who I first saw doing this. ChrisEU seems to have done a European Parallel Universe thing. CustomClassic and Ukeman, I believe were the first to be ballsy enough to ask Rob for a brand new factory finish version. And I think that CrashMoses was the firstest early-adopter of the idea.

Please share pics of your oversized builds that didn't used to fit on a REO (w/out 510 adapter/extenders, that is) in this thread; so that others may delight in the possibilities!

The atomizers I've used have all required modification for bottom feeding.

Rob milled tumbled raw with black silver vein door…

Cyclone… dual micros 27g = .40 ohms
Washed and boiled Hemp Fiber

AFC set for mouth inhales. Wide open 2 - 3 second draw… will fill your lungs…
Either way, on the road, with the windows down, you KNOW you're vaping! :)
Nic 4mg juice…juice consumption like a V12
Sub ohms/ dual air holes is a whole new way to vape… got to tweak things a bit to get the flavor as good but i'll fiddle with RM2 for my old Reo; still sub ohms, one hole.
Can't wait for the "kit".

Cyclone owners; anyone know what allen wrench size fits the cyclone allen screw? the little one it came with doesn't seem to fit anymore.

I did switch one out but only one of that phillips head would fit.
The Allen key is 0.89mm
I bought a pack of 5 from an electrical supplier here in the uk

Ok I am losing my mind over these.

As much as I dig the RM, I would really love an all stainless or Ti atty with better fit and finish. Can we see some pics and descriptions of how you guys are modding your attics for BF? Is it as simple as drilling out the post?

Not sure if this is worth it's own thread. If so I will start one.

That's a Nimbus clone (ss version). The centerpost is short cause I broke the original drilling for bf. It's got an IGO-S post in it with a screw from a miniDIDn't clone. More of those screws in the IGO-L below, too.

Frankenatty! Nice!
Allen Posts would be so awesome. I keep stripping the Phillips screws on my RMs. Keeping them from drifting out with thicker wire has become a pain and torquing down on them has me stripping so often that I am kind of avoiding coil builds right now.

there's a little video for drilling out the IGO-S which can be applied to lots of centerposts.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/404955-how-mod-igo-s-2-bottom-feeder.html (←that's the whole thread)

The Nimbus went wrong for me because the post was very long and all SS. My drill bit broke off in there.

here's one of the vids in it.

video #3 in the linked post discusses options on letting the juice out of the drilled centerpost and into the atty.

If you're like me and don't have access to a drill press, there's another method.

Remove the center post with pliers. Cut a channel down the length of the center post (be careful not to penetrate into the threads inside) with a Dremel and one of these:

Reinstall the center post. Commence squonkage.

I've used this method with great results on Era clones and an Igo-S.
