D they not screw on to the volt 78mm batt or do they just look awkward? Isn't threading the same?

The X2 has both an 808 and an EGO thread while the 78mm batt only has an 808 thread. These T3's for the time being only fit the X2 Ego thread. Imagine said that they will eventually make the T3 to fit both 808 and Ego threading.

You can certainly try, but the way the X2 is made, the threading may be slightly off than traditional EGO threading due to added 808 component. I've been able to use Kanger T3's made for EGO's but it wasn't a perfect fit and some others have not had success doing so.

no harm no foul. just a broke heart and heavy wallet haha, unfortunately i cannot place another order just yet, so my t3 will sit on my shelf for a little while

Same here, looked last night and saw the replacement heads. Figured I'd place my order today. So, woke up, grabbed coffee, checked the website....wow replacement heads out of stock! So, quickly put together an order before the T3's sold out.

Hopefully another batch of replacement heads will come soon.

I have a feeling, some people are hoarding. Doesn't make too much sense, since hopefully the next batch will have the 808 threading.

I know the inner thread is KR-808D.

Since the new T3 only fits the outer threading of the x2 batteries, I gotta ask... Does this threading have a name? Is it ego threading? I get the feeling it is a custom threading, intended only for cosmetic purposes, such as a cone. But I thought I would ask.

wow I must have gotten one of the last heads when I threw one on my order at 7:30ish Mountain time. Pretty pumped up about these T3's. I love my x2/x2 combo but I do get some dry hits every now and then so really curious to see if these fix that minor problem. Plus since the heads are replaceable I could be looking at a cheaper long term solution. Also finally ordered a vivi nova for my vamo but that is going to be an stay at home mod and going to keep rocking my x2's at work and out and about.

holy crap! most of the colors in my cart are listed as out of stock now too! I just put them there yesterday.. darnit. I was going to wait and get them after xmas but before NYE but I went ahead and pulled the trigger on 4 of them just now. Must have gear!
