I mixed my first batch of eliquid. I was a bit nervous but seeing it was my first time things worked out well. I'm vaping some of my shake and vape stuff now and boy is it delish. Its making me hungry.
I can see I am going to have to make more when my bottles get here. This stuff isn't going to last long. I hope my other recipes turn out this good.

Yay! What did you make?
I made an Andes mint, mothers milk clone, birthday cake, pina colada, and Apple jacks and milk. I've tried the Andes mint and the birthday cake. They are to die for. Definitely going to be among my favorites. The mothers milk clone and the Apple jacks have to steep. I only made 15 ml of each since I didn't know if I would like them and that's the only size bottles I have right now besides 120ml. My 30 ml bottles are now in Phoenix so they should be delivered Monday or tues the latest.

I wanted to ask about crock pot steeping. Do you add water to the crock pot? If so that would be a problem. I don't think my labels will stand up to prolonged submersion in water. How long do you leave your bottles in the crockpot and with the lids on or off? Do you turn the crockpot to high or low? I have a mini crockpot that will probably hold all my bottles but it has no temperature control. Any ideas to speed up steeping is welcome.

Might want to read Danny's compilations:
Everything you wanted to know about steeping and then some.

After awhile you might be using natural steeping/experienced in weeks required per flavor(s) used and all this accelerating the aging process will become a mute point.

between here and there
Thanks.
Well I decided to just mix up 120 ml of Andes mint and birthday cake and I ran out of flavors mid mix. Oh well. Guess I will see they are like with less chocolate and less cake batter dip. That what I get for buying the sample size. Life is interesting.
Which online calculator did you use?

You must add water to the crock pot and sit the bottles in the water otherwise you can ruin the crock pot. Labels will not stand up to crock pot steeping so I would recommend getting a few glass bottles just for steeping purposes (Glass bottles is a must for steeping). Steeping can be any where from 1 - 5 hours depending on what your steeping. Always set your pot to the lowest setting which is "low" on some crock pots and "Keep warm" on others.. Good steeping temperature is from 140 - 155F you can use a meat thermometer to check this.

Fruits no steeping to 1 hour
creams and deserts 1 - 3 hours
tobaccos 3 - 5 hours.

Just did my first batch of crock pot speed steeping @ 140 degrees with a Strawberry Cheesecake ejuice in a 30ml glass bottle, inside of a ziplock bag and let it sit for 2 hours. After 2 hours I pulled it out and shook it up immediately and then opened it up and let it breathe another 2 hours and am impressed with the result!

I am going to do a little experiment and steep the same juice for 2-3 weeks and then make another speed steeped batch and see what the difference in flavor is with normal steeping vs speed steeping. Has anyone done something like this yet? And what differences did you see?

From what I've researched, as long as you don't go over 150-155 f then it doesn't degrade the nicotine which is the only reason you wouldn't want the juice to get to hot or go over 150 or so. I just did my first batch of speed steeping and it does actually taste better after 2 hours or so of speed steeping. Just did 2 more batches of other flavors and waiting for those to cool so I can try those out as well.

I am going to also do normal steeping on the same flavor ejuice to see what the flavor differences are with normal vs speed steeping and will definitely post my findings!
