At this price, I have no reason to chase the prestigious mod that the GGTS is. In the end, it's about performance...and I have that with my MKB. I checked the voltage drop again tonight....

Battery 3.7
In the MKB...3.6
You can't hardly beat that IMO! ;)

My switch does slightly heat up, just enough that I can tell...but nothing I would be concerned about. I would spend the money and buy the adapter made for it. Mine had something in the threads (not metal shavings, we something soft), but after I cleaned it out, no problems at all and works perfectly.

Well so much for that genuine GGTS, I just ordered a MKB-TS from Moutain Oak Vapor for a total of $60.09 shipped using coupon code "JUNESAVE", It could have been $3 cheaper but I choose priority over regular (they really amount to the same) The code gets you 10% off

BIG Thanks for the link man.... :) I just picked up a couple of Terminator C's from there for $34.99 each.. :toast: Then, I used the coupon code for even more savings.. ;)

This product is manufactured by Rainbow. This is the Terminator-C Rebuildable Tank Atomizer. This is an exact clone of the Odysseus and you are able to interchange most parts (no guarantees). This is also the exact same Terminator-C sold by Stormy's and Discount.

I should have grabbed another MKB-TS at that price also...

Take off the adapters and collector tank and try it using the native 510 of the MKB and see if the button still gets hot

Gave this a try, it's still heating up, but I don't think as much. I checked MOV and they have 82 in stock this morning.

I'll shim the button and see what that does. I wonder if there's a piece that replaces the collector for running directly off the native 510.

As other have said, must be high resistance at the switch, I had already ordered a switch before I shimmed mine. The shimmed swith was plenty good enough that I didn't need the switch.

Have you disassembled and cleaned the switch?

Yes, I just finished disassembling and cleaning the switch, there was alot of corrosion on the spring and steel parts. I got the sense this mod was assembled some time ago. Then I got the brass shim in place and no more heat!! The button stays nice and cool for good long hits and chain vaping; it's working great now! Thanks everyone for your advice and insight. I love a good thread like this one, alot of knowledgable freindly people. It took a while working the button to get it functioning well, it was a bit sticky, but I kept at it and it's nice and smooth now, and comes back out all the way after pushing it. I've got a bunch of extra shimming material if anyone is in need. Someone offered to send me some yesterday, but I was too anxious and made a trip to Ace HW. Ace seems to have uncommon stuff more often than other HW stores. So I'm running a Smok RDA, dual coil at .5ohms, tons of tastey plumes!

Thanks DW.
Made a little discovery tonight as I was playing with some GG parts I got in the classies. Picked up a bottom cap, switch (Sorry fogdawg) and air ring. The short or 18650 extensions that come with the MKB when you put two of them together with the bottom cap are the perfect length to make a stealth out of. Will post pics tomorrow.

congrats Vince, would you mind giving out the post # for the shim treatment for the warm button issue?
I've got one that is more warm than hot, but curious how its done... this thread is getting pretty technical, which is great; i'm not a diy'er type, and this device is as close to a high end mechanical as any i've seen...

btw i only use mine with the stormy cap and sub 1.0 Ohm attys... someone broke their collector tank and offered to buy mine so i'm really justified in using it that way... heh.

Thanks ukeman, good to see you again. Look on page 7, posts 66-69 and there abouts. I think cleaning the inside of the switch, spring etc, was as important as the brass shim. a few posts back there's a link to K&S, manufacturer of the shimming material. The piece that worked well is .002mm, and all the info for the package including stock # is a few posts back; send me a PM with your mailing address and I'll get a piece in the mail for you today. My post office stays open on Sat until 3pm PST. It would be my pleasure to send you a piece, as I have enough to do around 40-50 shims or more. The shim makes the button nice and smooth, like butta, it's got a much more solid feel to it too. I'm truely loving this mod now. All the heat is now going where it belongs. Say the word and I'll shoot it right over to you.

Vape-Mail arrived today, and brought me the Oddy / GGTS adapter.. :) It's been very enjoyable piecing things together for the MKB-TS. I'm waiting for the knurled GG connector to arrive next week. ;) I really like the look, and it is much easier to grip when taking the collector tank loose. I still want to try and score the new brass GG Stealth cap when COV gets them, and also a brass 801 AD top cap.

It's going to be one hell of a vaping system when completed.. :2cool: The crowning touch will be when the Kayfun-style conversion kit I'm waiting on for the Terminator C arrives. :vapor:

It's been great seeing what everyone else has been doing with their gear in this thread. :) Thanks for sharing your info, and experiences.

I've been enjoying a Diver RBA (SWEET little thing) this evening with my MKB-TS:

Hello dw, can you please tell me where you ordered your new switch from, or post a link? My switch is giving me fits! I've already taken it apart on a number of occasions and put it back together and it would fire great with no heating and then shortly after it would get fire hot again! Not sure what else I can do at this point.
