making a sample and making 30ml or above batches can have different results. if its good at 3 or 6 ml it may be vile at larger quantities(a small % of flavoring difference can make a good vape unvapable). i would make say 20 ml of it then if its good just make 10 20 ml batches if you can't figure out math or use a calculator. o and don't use drops use a syringe, drops are not accurate at all!!! these peeps are trying to help... making big batches is often times a very bad thing to do unless you really know what you are doing which you aparently do not.

First thing to do is this: determine how many drops per ml your flavoring is. It may be 20 drops & it may be 40 drops. Do you have anything that you can put drops in and count until you get to 1 ml? (syringe, etc)

Nobody will be able to help until this until this is determined. Once you can figure that part out, the rest can be solved.

I am new to this too, took a lot of reading to figure some things out.

What do you think I am!!! I told you how to do it and if you want to do it right that's the only way!!! I don't understand why you don't get it. It's not that no one has done it yet, it's that every bottle is different and you need to get a 1mL syringe if you don't have one.

yea,,i was trying to avoid having to try and count 1ml worth of drops,,,so hard to be sure if ya don't have degree'd syringe or something comparable..
hoping one of these 1-2 year vets already did the drop measuring,,guess not ??

You are still not getting it:

All dropper/liquid combinations are DIFFERENT.

The first thing I did when I got my first stuff was measure how many drops in a ml of PG, VG, water and PGA - all with the same simple pipette. I got results ranging from 25 to 44. And decided that I would only use drops in more improvised "hmm, let's try something a bit like this" -mixes.

You *can not* determine the ratio of drops to ml except by testing it.

Even if someone had the exact same flavouring in the exact same bottle as you do (which BTW you haven't told us what it is even, or what bottle or dropper you have), it is very possible that the way that person holds/squeezes/don't squeeze that bottle would result in a different number of drops per ml than when you do it.

If you are going to use lots of this flavouring I don't see why it would be such a difficult thing for you to just test how many drops/ml. Once you know that, your calculation is fairly easy.

So stop whining already, and start counting drops :glare:

Where is a big facepalm when you need it?

Mixing juice is not making a cake from a box. There are no "add 2 eggs and 10ml of oil to the cake mix" that work.

I know there is no way to say how many drops there are in a ml because I have measured drops and I know it can range from 10 to 100 depending on various factors.

I also know there is no way to say how much flavoring will make a mix taste like it is suppose to because I have mixed juice from 2% to 45% of total flavoring.

Now, I am a 2 year vet and have been mixing juice for much of that time. GoodDog has been doing it longer than I have and I learned from GD's posts when I started.

I have learned that when folks tell you something you do not want to hear, that your replies are not very nice. That tells me that I should have just left this thread well enough alone and continued to ignore it, but I hope that other newcomers to DIY mixing will take the lessons here and apply them.

This thread is comedy. That's what it is.

denali_41, are you really taking Plumber's word as God's because he's mixed a batch of 16oz's before? He didn't tell you that your dropper is worth 10 drops per ml. He only gave you an example. You really need to get something to measure the amount of drops with. It's the only way you'll know.

yea,,he came closer to giving the answer i am trying to get, then you did ..
this is my second 250ml bottle ,i am half way through it and preferring more PG in my all day vape then 100% VG
it i get too much flavor in it ?? whats the best solution ?? more base
too little flavor ?? add more
and it's my 200ml bottle to do with as i please,,never once did ask if i should NOT do it,but plenty of people
stuck their nose in to tell me i shouldn't ,,eh

Ok ,,now that we are attacking the poster,,the poster can attack back eh ???

4 pages and two people were able to come close to answering my OP question

What does that tell me ?? when people reply with irrelevant answers it is because they just plain and simple don't know and are compelled to touch the square letters in front of them in order to make themselves feel like they have an active brain cell

I should have known better then to ask how to do something that very few have the desire to attempt for fear of ruining their precious e-juice !!

Most of you that have "commented" really do fit the demographic profile of a smoker {ex-smoker albeit} to a T

Here now denali_41, I am not sure how you were attacked. Folks tried to explain how to start. (Then they would have gone onto a scale up from there as we have done tons of times.) A few gave random examples, and that is what you took as gospel.

You did not want our advise, you wanted to do it your way, or no way, and seemed quite angry with those that were trying to help.

I mixed 570ml yesterday and every drop is good stuff, repeatable, and will be greatly enjoyed and according to your last post is irrelevant. You do it your way and I'll do it my way. If that makes me a demographic smoker, I'm fine with that. I enjoy helping folks and don't really get bent out of shape by folks who refuse help or tell me that I'm wrong because I know that Bill Engvall is right.

Please feel free to attack. I am getting a good chuckle out of it as it is and I can only imagine it will get even better.
