I know the Nanos is part of the Poldiac family however just though maybe a separate thread for the Nanos might be in order, although there is some discussion about this mod in the Poldiac thread, I'm just so damned excited to get mine today number 0310, which is so cool cause that's my area code to boot!!
Had a hard time not wrecking the box, but got it out and assembled, shined him up some, even though mine came out spotless! attached my Atty, I did read in the manual that your builds need to be higher than .5 ohms due to the magnets, so I built min around .8 ish. also read in the manual about the positive pole base could be substituted with a spring, don't quite understand that but the base seems to work just fine with my Sony battery. I ordered mine in single tube 18650 brass, will probably get another in the mixed configuration with the short mid tube and two short extensions. the tube is highly polished and absolutely beautiful, the top cap assembly went great and everything is nice and snug, the switch is awesome! throw is short, profile is very minimal, the locking is buttery smooth and easy with a flick of your finger. my only issue and its not even an issue as I use only SONY and MNKE batteries is the positive pole screw. even though it has plenty of adjustment, and threads in oh so ever smooth, you would need a socket or wrench or pliers to remove or adjust. a screwdriver slot would have been cool, but like I said I'm lovin this mod!!
If you have the means it is one to have in you collection.
Oh and in case your wondering it hits like a train, and looks awesome!

Was soo close to actually getting one today, so it's bound to happen sooner or later. Great to see some focus on making shorter mods as well as trying to re-think the ol' locking mechanism.

Edit: OK OK! Ordered! 18350 version with satin SS tube and cap... and a brass button.

I have Nanos #0282 which is a one piece tube 18650 in polished brass. I received it last Monday and use it in rotation with my two original Poldiacs. I have enjoyed it so far and it sure is short (less than 83mm in 18650 mode).
The reason to keep the ohms of the coil no lower than .5 ohms is the heat that can be generated in the switch will degrade the magnets if they get too hot.

A quote from the MMVapors website: "Be advised that the Nanos is not suitable for setups below 0.5 ohm! This has to do with the magnets in the switch, if the magnets get over 120 degrees Celsius (248 Fahrenheit) they will lose their magnetic properties".

I have "chain vaped" my dripper at .6 ohm with dual coils on my Nanos and the switch did not even get warm to touch at all, even though the dripper got quite warm. So I am not sure how low a build could be before the switch would start to heat up.

There are magnets made that can handle higher heat such as the NSH type which have a temperature rating of 302°F (150°C).

I am going to look into getting higher temp magnets for my Nanos if I decide to go super low ohm on my builds and have problems.

The switch on the Nanos is just remarkable how it works using the six small magnets to both lock/unlock the switch as well as act as the spring. It does this while only being 7mm tall. Only about 3mm of the switch protrudes outside of the battery tube. I catch myself just flicking the button back and forth to lock/unlock like people used to do with the lid on the Zippo lighter.
I feel MMVapors has a winner in the Nanos and that it will become quite popular to mechanical mod users.

Amen, I'm lovin this little fella, having the 2 Poldis and this Nanos now. I can see myself purchasing another Poldiac or Nanos Probably a mixed Nanos, there's a few consigned Poldiac ver 1 and ver 2 I can pick up locally, I just can't see spending money on another mod that I may or may not like, case in point. I recently purchased a FIRST by Tad, in polished SS, nice mod but fiddly, the locking ring will unscrew all the way off the button, is it a huge deal? no but I paid just south of $200.00 for it, same with my caesura, beautiful mod in brass hits like a truck but very sticky button and fiddly lock ring, my Poldis all I have to do is adjust for atty insert battery and hit the fire button and I'm in vape heaven, no fiddling, just enjoyment,
no folks I'm in it to win it with Jim's mods and atties, strong statement I know, but damn you just know that your poldiacs and now Nanos will work and work well with out all the fiddlyness.

I have Nanos #340, and love it. Clicking the switch back and forth can be addicting. I guess I missed the part in the manual about the .5 ohms. I have mine set up at about .45 with a dual coil dripper, and the switch doesn't even begin to get warm or hot.

I just checked the manual and I think they have just added the info about the .5 ohms. I do not remember it being there before. I wonder if the .5 ohm limit is to just to protect them from someone chain vaping a .1 ohm build or such. I let a friend put his .22 ohm dripper on my Nanos and the switch did not heat up with him taking two or three vapes. But, I did not know about the warning at that time, so I will for sure keep an eye on this in the future.
I think this info makes it important to not have a "hard" short which could heat up the button real fast. Instead of collapsing a hot spring it could cook the magnets. One option would be to run a hot spring at the top of the Nanos instead of the Nanos Positive Screw. This would also make changing an atomizer and brands of batteries(different lengths) easier as far as the adjustments.

As an test I just installed the "negative pole plate" that came with one of my Poldiacs(the part from the extra parts bag used to move the switch to the bottom position) and a Rhodium coated spring in my Nanos in place of the Nanos Positive Pole Base and Nanos Positive Screw. It works just fine and I did not see any difference in the voltage drop with a 1 ohm coil. The voltage drop may increase with lower ohms.
I am going to use it in this setup for a few days and see how I like it. It sure makes the adjustments so much quicker when making changes.

Hmm, I like that idea, I'll have to see if I have a spring in my parts bag from the Cali edition, didn't get with the brass one as I bought that from consignment. really my only issue is the positive screw is kinda a pain when switching atties out

You will also need the "negative pole plate" that came in the spare parts bag with the Poldiac. This negative pole plate is used on the Poldiac when moving the full switch head on a Poldiac to the bottom location. You just screw this negative pole plate into the plastic insert in the top cap on the Nanos and the spring will snap into the indention on the bottom side of it. Make sure the spring is securely held in place in the negative pole plate as you do not want the spring to come loose and short between the positive of the battery and the tube or top cap. If needed you can spread open the wider end of the spring a little to make it fit tight into the negative pole plate.
The Nanos manual says you can put the spring into the Nanos Positive pole base, but I could not get the spring to fit it. That is why I used the negative pole plate from the Poldiac.

Got mine yesterday. Pretty quick shipping.

While it doesn't score 10/10 in the looks department for me, it more than makes up for that with the excellent button, small size and even more excellent locking mechanism. It manages to take locking mechanisms from being slightly annoying to being almost entertaining in a procrastinating kind of way. Not sure if I would trust it in a pants pocket, but I'm having no concerns keeping it in a jacket pocket.

It is 22.6mm, so there will be a small lip with 22mm atomizers. Not really a big deal, but 22mm straight would of course (to me) be preferred. Would also like it better if the tube was not beveled at both ends for a more flush look with the top cap. This is nitpicking it! Over-all, very happy with the Nanos so far. Huge bonus (for me): No logos, engravings or other fancy stuffs on the tube.

This is just a 1-day first impressions, and in no way a review. On a scale from "wish I didn't" to "may get another" it's heavy on the latter side.

Anyway... anyone know if the TNS hybrid will fit? Or if MMVapors plan to release a TNS for it?

Shipping to the US is 19 euros, which is about 26 dollars. Their shipping is some of the best I have seen. I receive my orders from them in two days and the tracking lets you follow it all the way. It is amazing how many airports it goes through on it's trip to the US.
For the money, I think the Nanos is the best buy there is for a high end mod.

According to MiriamWTH, Jim is going to start working on designing a hybrid adaptor for the Nanos/TNS when he returns from his trip to the US. I think he may also design a flush top cap that sits down in the tube and accepts regular 510 threaded atomizers.

Good stuff! Been on the fence with the TNS for a good while. Getting a hybrid version for the Nanos would probably be the push I need

I must point out again I was nitpicking on a very much personal preference basis. Hope I haven't put anyone off buying one! I'm strongly trying to convince myself to simply order another one. I may succeed

I'm pretty sure I'll get the mixed edition next, I would like to see a hybrid type top cap just to shorten the attire a bit more, but I have no gripes with mine been my sole companion all week, taken it to the OC vape meet today with a dripper and my KFL+ in tow.

Got my new stuff today. Have to admit I'm regretting my nitpick earlier on. Can't edit it out now, tho.

The Nanos is simply excellent. I dare say it's the one to beat. As far as I know, there are no shorter mods with a locking mechanism. And what a locking mechanism... The mod will fire if set down, but locking it is not only no big deal; it's almost a pleasure. You get an extremely sensitive switch that can be fired simply by resting your pinky on the rim of it and think "fire", while being able to lock it without thinking about it... using just one finger.

Rhodium plated contacts with the most ingenious positive post adjustments I've seen. A button that can take on the Paps. Small size. Mix and match parts to your liking... what's not to love? MMVapors got a real winner on their hands.

Yeah locking the switch is almost addictive, except the Zippo analogy uses your thumb and the Nanos you use (at least I do) your pinky, I will pull the trigger on another one here shortly, probably the mixed, have to wait a week or so cause I'm in the middle of negotiating price at my local B&M for a consigned V2 sleek that I want to rescue.

The brass one is very slightly rounded off at both top and bottom, giving it more the appearance of a ring. It completes the look perfectly, even with a slightly slimmer atty (22mm vs 22.6mm). While I like the looks of the SS satin top; for me, SS satin tube with brass button and cap is a thing of beauty. 10/10. Minimalistic classy look.

The "rounded off" shape of the polished brass comes from the polishing they do on it I think. I see the same thing with my Poldiacs.
