Mod choice for me!

I know I am a pain in the tush about this stuff..but I want what I want and pay for it! I am sick of buying batteries. I still want some red manual 901's..for out and about, but not for full time. I also love my NicoStick and my passthrough.

I am down to a few choices, help me decide based on your experiance.

1. Pure Smoker's Protege, $89.00 Plus I can get extra batts from them.
I need to ask if trust fire and the charger is the same as my protected 14500 ultrafire and charger for the nicostick. I can use whatever colored atty I want. I am not thrilled with just silver colored mods.
My problem with the protege is that they are having some issues with that little rubber ring..located somewhere in the adapter or the atty I think.

2. Vapre 51 from Litecig $109.95
Has pretty lights, but don't want a 801 atty. I am not sure about the 3 part look that isn't smooth like the 901. It seems a bit clunky with the black band for the adapter. Maybe with a black atty.
The batteries are rcr10440 3.7v protected.

3. Truesmoker has the same mod but with a few extra's for the same price.

4.Vaprlife has the same thing ( I think it is the originator) for the same price. They also have a full starter kit for $139.00. They have the flashlight adpter coming. Oh and it looks like they have a silver colored/steel adapter instead of the black. That would look better with different colored atty's. Like a purple atty with the purple light ect.
The one thing that makes this a better idea for me is that they already have a 901 adapter..BUT I have to drill a hole for airflow? I don't want to be drilling holes! Good grief people, get a darn grip! predrill it for me for $139.00!
Oh one more thing, this company doesn't have vapre51 stamped or etched on it! Good! I don't like being a walking talking billborard for anything!

Hmm...I wonder where I'm supposed to drill a hole on the PV2? I don't remember seeing that when I ordered it, but I just went and looked and it does say you have to drill a hole. I've been using it for 3 days with the 510 adapter and I haven't drilled a hole anywhere and it works fine. I guess I'll have to email them and find out what the heck they mean. Until then I'll keep being happy with the way it works now .

VP2--I can't type The VP2 from Vaprlife. I ordered the $109 version since I didn't need the atty's or liquid that came in the more expensive version. Came with the mod, the 510 adapter, 2 batteries and the charger. They have the same set for the 901 for $109.

Mary Kay, you can get something that says YOU... A Chuck (or Little Chuck). I had JeffakaMax customize one for me. Here is my LITTLE HELLEN (enlarge it to see the metal flake... wooooo! purdy!) $80 with shipping.

AHA! I went back and really read all the info..the VP2 is AA batteries, The VP1 is AAA batteries! Ok so it doesn't last as long as AA but it is slimmer. There is a size comparison chart under model line up! Since I would be using a 901 mine would be shorter as well. Comparable to an 801.
Now I need to know which of those two would be a better choice.!

The adapter is gold, so it matches the 801 connector that is there and the gold ring on my 501s....I can't remember if the 901 atty's have a gold ring since it's been a while since I used one. The VP2 is a little smaller around than a dime. I went with it because it has protected batteries and the VP1 has unprotected and the charge lasts longer on the AA.

Moonflame..The new VP1 does have protected batteries. I double checked. They just did the update. I went ahead and ordered the VP1 after talking to a few people. It seems the AAA type batteries it uses last about twice as long as an 801 battery. Anything is an improvement on the 901 or the old kr808 I had! I don't mind switching batts and I ordered a couple extra to charge while I use one.
The one thing I did that was odd for me is order the 801 kit and the 901 adapter. That way I can try an 801 atty. I hear they hold more fluid and you don't need to refill as often. That would be nice as the mods really chug liguid!
The nice thing is that it's in stock! I should have it within the week.

I forgot to say that the 901 does not have a ring of any color. The Vaprlife people told me the adapter was a gold or silver color..not a problem.

Helen, I did go see the Chucks thread..what amazing work! I feel in love with the red and the purple little chucks..but I am just not fond of the larger around styles. Matbe at a later date I may change my mind..I just love yours and Zofreyers was glorious! It reminded me of the gasparilla in tampa..priates galore!

Congrats on your order MaryKay! I think you're going to be really happy. I may have gone with the VP1 if they had had protected batteries when I ordered mine. Did you ask them about what they meant about drilling a hole? I keep meaning to email them and forgetting to do it, especially since it's working with no problem. What color LED did you order?

The hole drilling is for if you want to ajust the flow with that screwdriver they send. If you don't care about ajusting..then it won't need a hole! They said if I did want the hole they would do it for me before sending it out..nope, but thanks!
I got the aquamarine color, boy I did want the red so I could match a batt with it, but I wan't sure I wanted the grief of the red light district jokes! I am not a pink person..never have been but they do make pink and purple batts, wouldn't that look cool? I ordered a Black 801 batt and a Blue one, just as a change from the silver they are sending.

It was a tough choice between the aquamarine and the purple for me, but I think my sis in law will be ordering the aquamarine, so I got purple. I use different colored attys with different flavors to try to keep track of things and so far it goes well with all of the ones I have. Unfortunately the purple 510's weren't out when I ordered my assortment of attys so I have to order some purple ones now .

This is the VP1 with the 801 atty pictured with the 901 atty and a 901 mini.

This is the same VP1 with the 901 atty and gold 901 adapter.

I love this thing! The vapor and throat hit is amazing..too bad I don't like throat hits! I used it with both atty's and like the 901 better. That's probably because I am used to a 901.
I think I can go to 6mg and 0 Nic full time with this. The pictures do not do it justice! It's very silver and the battery case is a bit textured. the turquoise lights are very pretty!

If you order the Vapr51, you will get the same thing except right now they only come with 801. They will offer the adapters soon. The vapr51 also has the name etched on the side. Those are availible soon from True smoker and Litecig.
