There are a ton of choices that would work well.

For best battery life, something with dual batteries:

Custom sx350 mod if you want expensive and pretty
DNA200 mod of some sort
Boxer with DNA200 or sx350J
Cloudmaker Whiteout (using either chip as well)
Sigelei 150W tc
Ipv4s
Ipv3 Li

For single battery:
Sx mini m class
Ipv d2
Sigelei 75W

Unregulated are mechanicals? I don't know i'm a noob i guess regulated is what i need.

mechanicals are unregulated, but unregulated aren't mechanicals...it's been debated over and over, some say they're the same...but whatever. that's a subject for a different thread. :)

regulated is indeed what you want. if you're not interested in temperature control, I've had my sigeli 150 watt for awhile. solid device with no issues. plus there's a lot of aftermarket "sleeves" to dress it up, if that's your thing. I've dropped it plenty of times, and she's still pluggin' along.

What is the deal with temperature control? For what is helpful?

I don't own one, but they way I understand it is that it helps with a more consistent vape and makes coils last longer due to not burning...maybe. I'm sure someone else will be by soon to correct me that actually has one. lol

In my opinion it gives the most consistant vape. The coils are always at the temperature you set them to be. So no warming up on the first hit and then getting hotter as you keep vaping.

It will also prevent a dry hit.

Is it necessary? No. Is it nice? Sure. But, I don't personally find it so amazing that I want to sell all my mechs and kanthal mods :). Most mods are coming out with it now, but you don't have to use yet.

I care about TC because if i'm a noob and i don't build my setup correctly or incorrect wicking, anything can produce a dry hit and lowering the temperature may fix it?

It detects a dry wick situation and lowers the power for you.

There is a learning curve, but its nice technology. And many affordable mods are coming out of China. An IPV D2 is small, has a Yihi chip and is $50. It is single battery though.

I'm trying to decide on my next dual batt mod myself. I really want one with the sx350J chip, but will probably get the Sigelei 150W tc for less than half the money.

The Goblin RTA is a great tank, one of my favorites. I will say that the build deck is very tight and fitting a nickle build in with suitable resistance for TC may be a hassle. I'm not 100% sure on that, but I know the deck is tight to build on even with Kanthal. Despite that I still love the tank and it's my daily along with one other RTA.

Looks like you already got some good suggestions on devices. Either way, the devices do power regulation and you can try the TC when you feel up to it.

I bought the sigelei 150W already.

Hey Matty what is the difference between the goblin v2 and the goblin mini. The goblin v2 is discontinued and UD is now only selling goblin mini as "the new goblin". But you know i'm afraid that the goblin v2 predecesor could be better in anyway than the new goblin mini, in that case i will try to get a v2. Or the mini is better? From all i have read is that the v2 was incredible comparable to a dripper and some said it outperform most drippers, and the air flow hole were huge! I can't even see where the goblin mini air flow holes are?

You can use small coils with just a few wraps with titanium. I'm using 6 wraps of 28g wire per coil. With ni200 you need a lot of wraps, especially with a dual coil setup to be at a resistance the mod can fire.

I see Focalecig now has some titanium wire, as does Fasttech. They ship worldwide. I don't know how good the quality is. Clean it well with alcohol, and if its very springy you can pulse it to blue or gold and I bet it would be fine.
