Going to try taking apart my Chrome v2 - the button could use a bit of shimming, since it doesn't always fire when pressed. I wasn't sure how the cap was attached and didn't want to do a hack job. Thanks for the information!

I may try the LED and display LED mod it it isn't too complicated. I can handle the button LEDs; not sure about the display, until I actually see how they are attached onto the board...

Edit: Quick question: the LED displays appear to be single units; are they surface mounted (appear that way) or through-hole Upon further inspection they look like dual digit single SMD, do you know if they are common cathode or common anode?

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about taking my mini apart to change the LED and coating. This really helps
