So I've only been using a little mini (M402) for the past few weeks and driving with it is no hassle. (If you don't consider changing cartridges, batteries, and praying not to overheat your atty a hassle that is. :p ) I've had a few of officers do a double take to see what I was "smoking" but they recognized the cigarette shape and went about their business. With the Buzz on its way, I started to wonder how that dynamic will change when it looks like i'm smoking a flashlight!

To stop myself from making a short question any longer; How often do you get stopped by the police for using your infinity/buzz while driving?

You guys both live out on the west coast, though... :p I'm afraid that in Texas, the police may tend to be a bit more... "conservative" when it comes to acceptable behavior. :p

I'm certain it won't be a problem once they actually see it... I just have a busy schedule and would prefer not having to take 15 minute breaks from my routine to entertain a bored police officer. ;)

I live in a small town just outside Hartford, CT and met face to face with a city police car at a 4 way stop while I had my Buzz up to my mouth. He looked at me, waved and was on his way. Granted, I'm a 51yr old woman driving a Hyundai LOL. The only place I have been asked not to use it so far was at an Applebee's restaurant here in Manchester.

If an officer was really concerned that you were using an illegal substance, offer them to run your juice through their test kits for illegal drugs. A drop of two of juice in any of their kits and they will all test negative. That being said, I live in the south and have yet to have a problem with PD and my PV. There was a thread on ECF before where a guy was pulled over just so the officer could ask him about his PV and if it really got him to quit smoking b/c he was interested. In the event you were pulled over, just be polite, offer to show him (the vendor card wouldn't hurt) and if he still isn't convinced, offer him to test your juice for illegal substances. Granted, that would take time out of your busy day, but I guarantee you it will take less time than if you cop an attitude (sorry, couldn't resist!) and he arrests you on suspicion of using illegal drugs and you have to wait for them to take you to the ADC to sort it out there. Odds are, you won't get pulled over, and if you do (for the PV or for some other reason and the officer notices your PV), a polite explanation would suffice. I know in my case, I'm FAR more likely to get pulled over for speeding than I am for my PV (at least I live in a city where the posted speed limit is merely a suggestion).

So true. When I used to have Grateful Dead stickers on my car, like the original poster's avatar, I got pulled over all the time. But I no longer fit the profile... I'm 41, caucasion, clean cut, usually dressed suit/business casual, newer vehicle, car seats in back, etc. I don't fit any profiles, and could probably drive around with pot plants on my roof, and the cops wouldn't look twice.

But if you're DWB, or fit some other "usual suspects" elements of the profile, be prepared to explain e-cigs. Heck, I've actually tried to bait the cops... Smoking Mods, blowing out huge plumes of smoke, etc. No takers...

Alas, I can no longer be suspected of doing anything "cool"... :(

I used to get pulled over for driving with a ZZ Top beard too... now I'm more... well... respectible! (as far as they can see anyway)

Very true... I used to get pulled over for smoking a cigar or for "failing to use turn signal while changing lanes" (Despite DEFINITELY using the signal...) and ever since I've cut my hair and removed various bumper stickers (namely political in nature) I haven't been pulled over during the day time since. (Now 2-4AM on highways through the countryside is a different story... :p)

Glad to hear I likely won't have anything to worry about. Thanks again!
