Umm, isn't the outside of the 510 just a negative ground ?

Frankly I'm still pretty clueless when it comes to circuits etc., just thought it might shed some light to my issue.

The center brass part inside the 510 is positive. The outer threaded part is ground. If you have a friend with a multimeter, measure between those two points while firing the button.

Do make sure you have a charged battery, too, but I'm sure you've checked that...

I have 4 charged batteries :D

Thanks, I'll try to do that as soon as I can.

a_e_u,
You aren't alone. I am having problems with my Spheroid and the MS. It seems to be shorting at the 510 connection. I am thinking the center pole of the MS is making contact with the outer edge of the Spheroid's 510 connection. I need to pull my Spheroid apart (I just rebuilt it) and see if I can move the center pin down some to prevent it. Otherwise, not sure what I am going to do.

ETA: Tore down the Spheroid. Put it back together, and can't recreate the problem… Tired of messing with it now. Off to bed.

Known problems of the 3rd run & shipping news

Let's start with known problems of the current run.

In some MicroSticks of the 3rd run (serial numbers #800+) the screw head easily gets stripped and it's impossible to remove the screw from the bottom cap.

The screw head is almost rounded and and gets easily stripped especially if a non-proper tool is used. The recommended tool to unscrew the screws is allen key 2 mm.

We got defective screws and haven't tested them before installing. Our estimation is that 5-10% of all used screws were defective and since there are two screws in each MicroStick, the probability of having a MicroStick with defective screws is rather high.

This is our fault and we are sorry about this. Next time we'll test all parts before installing them.

Please, contact us if you have problem with the screws in the MicroStick of the 3rd run. We'll arrange the repair or replacement of your MicroStick. All the expenses on the shipping will be compensated.

If you took the screws off, but the screws were damaged, we'll send you the new screws. Please, be careful and don't damage the threads in the MicroStick trying to get the screws out. The problem is in the screws themselves, not in the threads or in the contact of aluminium body and the SS screws. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The shipping on this week was delayed for the MicroSticks since we tried to find the root cause of the problem. We double checked all screws in MicroSticks which were not shipped yet and replaced all defective.
All MicroSticks shipped to the retailers were double checked, so these should be ok.

The full list of known problems can be found here:
Known issues - Mini ECIG

We planned to complete the shipping on this week, but due to the extra checks and replaced screws we are now behind the plan. The shipping will be finalized on the next week.
Hi,
Starting from which serial number did you recheck and replace the screws?
I'm just wondering if I should expect for the heads to strip in mine at some point - perhaps I should replace them from the beginning before this happens?

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Nice. A friend of mine in town works at a vinyl shop. They do everything from car wraps to signs for businesses etc. He's going to score me a small piece of black carbon fibre. Ideally I think I'll just buy a spare Spheroid tube at some point and have a tube dedicated to micro stick use and one for other mods.

Hard to say, because now Chels leaves parcels in the post office and then comes later to get the tracking numbers. But sometimes the post office closes early so he gets tracking numbers on the next day. Since there are many tracking numbers, I get them typed in sometimes very late in the evening and then I distribute them one day later.
All in all, this might add 2 days to the shipping date. Chels started double cheks of the screws when 2 problems were reported at the same day in the middle of the last week... In short, hard to say :)

Hi LittleDonkey,

I'm experiencing a far more serious issue with my microstick and have PM'd you. Please respond as soon as you can. Thank you.

Just in case... The fastest way to get support is to answer on any mail related to your order, because mails with order ID in the subject are answered with higest prio. Normally the difference is not big, but during the last week there were just so many mails that I had to prioritize some of them.

I answered via e-mail.

The list of retailers will be published on the next week.
We promised to publish it on this week, but due to the defective screws we had to double check the remaining MicroSticks.
All the MicroSticks were double checked before shipping to retailers but as a result, they were shipped several days later than planned and haven't arrived yet.

We will publish the list as soon as at least 1 retailer will receive the items and will put them on sale. There will be 200 MicroSticks at our retailers, so you won't miss them.
The list will be published on all forums where we normally publish our news and also in the store and on our Facebook page.

The next run will be started in March, so it's a long wait. You can subscribe for stock updates to get a notification when the pre-orders for the next run will be started.

Thanks for the response. I guess I'll just try to be extra careful with the screws, just in case.

Man after seeing your picture of your center post on your Spheroid, mine is definitely the problem… I need to contact Perseas.

Yup, info@vapourart.com My Spheroid center post probably sticks out at least as much as his, if not a tiny bit more because I have the V3 kit in mine.

I think you may be underestimating how many people are (money in hand) wanting the MicroStick :D

lol, I was thinking the same thing when she said 200, those will take minutes to sell.

JollyRogers...... Not sure if this is something that should be done or not but I took the white ring inside and filed it down just a wee bit with a fingernail file. Why you say cause if I screwed my spheroid down it was like shorting just got burned juice. Really I thought it was not getting air myself. Kinda new to these things. but when you said something about the pic a bit ago I noticed mine hardly even came out.
It was not staying screwed in befor cause it had to be loose or it burned so had to keep checking it. Wow now I can screw it in and it stays tight. Had an extra white ring so wouldn't have been a problem if it didn't work right. Hope this will help someone else.

Wow what a difference it has made. Getting lots more vaper now, and its not getting the tube really hot like befor.
