I got some very disappointing news yesterday. My order is # 2828. Received and email that the last 30 microsticks didn't make it through quaility control. The anodising was uneven they said. Was given the option of a full refund or wait for the next run. Very disappointing! Especially since I did a rush order on a GP Spheroid from over seas (didn't have any here in the states that I could find) and it was expensive. Sent minitools an email about this yesterday and have not received a response yet.
I got the same email. I did get a response on a follow up question but I don't plan to wait another 4-6 weeks.

I've been on the outside, watching and reading every post since this thread started.

While it does not help those that are unhappy, It is my belief that the makers have tried very hard to maintain both full disclosure, and great contact. I do feel for those that have waited so long only to have something else go wrong.

"Start-ups" go through random problems (as we have been shown), and vendors not in their control have repeatedly let them down.

I imagine (but do not know for sure) that even the great "GP" - had issues like these in their early days. Perspective may help - but it fixes nothing.

4/28 - 4 months ago today I ordered a Hamoriko, as it sounded like the MS was going to be a longer wait.

6/18 I added the MicroStik to my order when I came into a bit of extra cash.

Anticipating a shipping notification this week. finally.

I agree the communication has been pretty good, the delays are all valid it seems, but there have been so many.

Personally I think the donkey should have taken a good gauge of interest and produced to stock and sell it first come first served instead of trying to satisfy what seems to be an unreasonably large batch size, where every delay becomes a massive speed bump.

Maybe I'm wrong, that's just my perspective from the industry I'm in.

The third option was to choose one of the MicroSticks with uneven anodising (we provided detailed pictures) plus get a compensation.

Well, it was very disappointing for me to write mails saying that after such a long time, we cannot fulfil all the orders with proper quality.
All I can say is that we'll never ever do this again :)

You said, that we got some interest on this. Maybe things could be faster and easier if we could at least get these money.
In fact, PayPal doesn't allow to take the money before the orders are delivered. The most part of the funds are still blocked by PayPal.
They allowed us to take about 15% in the beginning and this was enough for materials and one of the CNC machines.
Later they released some more and we spent them on shipping costs, because Israel post wants cash only :)

So we got no interest on this delays. The sooner the items are delivered the sooner PayPal will allow us to get the funds. So we had all the reasons to avoid delays.

Hold up a second! Are you saying there are factory seconds available at a reduced price?!?!?!?

How do I go about buying one!?!?!? My Microstick needs an ugly brother!

I'd perhaps politely suggest visiting the Billet Box thread, and look back over the last four-six months. Rather than promises that might not come through, the do not take any pre-orders, and whatever stock is ready comes up on their website at a random time each Saturday. I've read of folks playing the 'F5' game for close to a year to get their BB.

Personally, given a choice of the two methods, I would much rather pre-pay and simply wait however long I needed to wait than to tie up Saturday after Saturday trying to win a lottery. Even though I know how to use my puter to cheat, it took me some four weeks to get mine.

Yes there was a third option. I apologize for not listing it in my post. Actually I never considered it because it was not an option for me. I do not want a blemished finish. I did get a response from you and the uneven finished mods looked like a good deal if someone is in the market for that kind of thing. I look forward to getting the mod and hope it will be ready in 4-5 weeks. Although patients is not one of my virtues :)

Those who ordered a proper MicroStick and were waiting for so long have priority. If anything will be left, we'll make them available.

Just don't forget us loyal customers who waited a long time for ours without complaining and loved our microstick so much that we want another one even if the finish isn't perfect. Oh and some of us are staunch Israel supporters as well. [emoji2]

Just got this little puppy today.
However, I can't get anything to fire in it :(
I tried all three of my spheroids and even a Boge cartomizer.
Tried Efest and AW batteries and messed around with the adjustment screw on the button.
Nothing seems to work.
Anybody else having firing problems?

BTW The anodizing is good. It's a little beauty.

Well a member this side of the pond has a similar issue with a non firing microstick, see here :- New microstick non fire? | ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK

As you'll see lots of non microstick users have tried to help to no avail.

Any microstick gurus have the answer ?

Yes, Greg. I've spent the day following the adventures of Pep and son and their magical multimeter. I'm about to try Pep's vodka relief method:unsure:

BTW, The people on that site are amazing! Hope you get it sorted, Pep.

And I've spent quite some time trying to help pep out but to no avail as of yet. It is quite hard when you don't have the mod yourself to look at. I'm frustrated and it's not my mod, can imagine how frustrated she is having spent a tidy sum and waiting so long.

I know the frustration. I ordered it in April, too. Just registered on AAEC so I could pop in say say hello but I guess it will take a while for the moderators to do their approval thing.
I wanted to ask Pep if she finds herself picking it up every five minutes and pressing the button just in case....
