I picked up my wife a eGo Titanium with my first order also. She is a Newport smoker 1 1/2 packs a day habit. She says she is getting headaches after vaping. She likes it, but I hopes she dosent get disscouraged. She is still going outside a few times during the day. I have been reading through the posts and have narrowed it down to the following: Not enough Nic, Too much Nic, maybe allergic to PG, not drinking enough water :)

Any good recommendations for a a good Menthol ejuice. She would like to try a fruit flavors also.

Willing to try anything to keep her on vape... Thanks...

I found myself dropping my nicotine level and increasing the amount of water I drank when vaping, and that helped my headaches. However, as far as still going outside, putting down the analogues is a personal thing. Some people can put down analogs with their very first vape, while others have to wean themselves down whether by choice or not. It took me a few weeks to stop completely.

I never smoked menthols, so I can't help you with juice choices :(, but I hope you find a good one.

Im new to vaping as well. One thing I noticed was an irritated throat that seemed to feel like I had a huge ball of lint that couldnt be cleared. I am very prone to headaches as well, and I have noticed I seem to get more now. NO idea the cause, I just take more ibuprofen in the hopes that it will fade...after all, I AM experiencing withdrawal of nicotene on some level.
The folks here are amazing and so very helpful. They recommended I hydrate like crazy, and now the throat irritation is nearly gone. Its so amazing to me that until I began vaping I had no idea just how STINKY cigarette smoke really is !
Hang in there !!!!

I was a menthol smoker as well, I hear that menthol makes your throat a bit numb so you start to get feelings in the nerve endings again, I had a very scratchy feel for a week and it went away...there is still a bit of a dry feeling when I vape but not like before...and I hear some dryness is normal..

the headaches sound like a nicotine thing to me Try reading up on either nicotine withdrawl symptoms to see if that describes some of the effects she is feeling. She may need more nicotine in her fluids.

Be sure to tell her that there is no shame in requiring a larger amount of nicotine in her fluids. It seems rather common. I believe, that once yu get that concentration correct, she will not have those headaches anymore.

I'm just going to echo everyone else who said drink more water! If you're vaping a high nicotine level (24mg) you might want to consider dropping the level, at least for a little while. You have to remember that your body is used to not only getting nicotine from analogs, it's also used to the other 4000 things that are rolled into them. You're still going to have some withdrawal symptoms, including headaches and fatigue. These will pass in time and then you'll feel so much better!

I vape a higher nic level at night when the cravings are really bad. The higher nic level will sometimes give me a headache which is a sign to lower the nic level for a while.

Also, she should be drinking at least 1 gallon of water a day. Cokes, coffee and booze will also dehydrate you so she should keep that in mind as well.

Funny how things change when you start vaping. I drink maybe one soda per day, and that's only when I'm at work. The rest of the time I'll drink tea, water, and Kool Aid. I almost forgot how good that stuff tastes! I vape two strengths; 18mg and 24mg. 18 is usually for when I'm at home in front of the computer and I know I'll chain vape. 24mg is for when I'm having cravings, at work, or out and about.

I got headaches the first two days because I wasn't vaping enough. Once I increased it on the 3rd day, the headaches and urges to cheat stopped completely.

I tried to vape like I smoked- like once every 1.5 hours. That didn't work. My Ejuice nicotine level wasn't on par with my cig nicotine level. By vaping every 30 minutes though, the withdrawal symptoms stopped.

Good luck!

If the headaches are accompanied by rapid pulse, nauseousness and/or nervousness. it's probably getting too much nic. When I quit I "needed" something more from my vape. Though it was nic. So I vaped like crazy (4-5 ml/day) and wound up with all the above symptoms and STILL felt like I needed "something". That something is all the other crap they put in cig's. I wouldn't be so quick to up the nic. Just drink plenty of water and don't overdue the nic (you may want to cut back...and the "something your still craving is probably not nic).

Anyway you do it, cutting down on analogs and increasing your vape is probably the healthiest thing anyone can do. Every cig not smoked is great for you!!!!

1 gallon of water a day? Yikes! I'd rather not vape if I had to drink that much. I hope these 'dry' symptoms don't last forever. I've only been vaping for 3 days, and I haven't noticed any strong withdrawal/side effects other than a bit of a dry throat. I plan on upping my nic level, and vaping less times throughout the day. Maybe that will help.

I wonder if the nic dehydrates a person, or if it is in fact the PG or VG. Gotta be the PG or VG, because I never got a dry throat while smoking analogs.

Looking at it as a GALLON does make it seem more than it is, LOL
a gallon is 128 oz. or 16 8 oz glasses - an "easily recommended" fluid replacement is 8 X 8 oz. a day - based on the average person looses about 11/12 oz. per day normally with bodily functions - so then add extra exercise or recovery / rebuilding of organs and the recommended intake can be higher.
If one's urine output is slightly yellow and combined about 5 / 6 cups a day... thats normal function.
the 128oz. is high - certainly be doing the " 8 X 8 oz. " and see how it goes, one can also gnaw on ice chips/cubes since the mouth is what is getting dry first...

When I first started vaping back in May, I also got really bad headaches and could not find that "special" menthol. Then I switched to VG and tried Good Prophets VG Menthol...problems solved. Thier menthol is awesome and the VG stopped the headaches. Give it a try, you won't be disapointed. It's been over 5 months now for me and I don't crave an analog at all!!
