Well, let's look at it this way.
1. Is Smoke 51 a bad product? No, not really. For a super-mini, it's decent. It's not the best, but certainly not the worst. And for a lot of new vapers, super-minis are a necessary stepping stone in getting off cigs.
2. Is it unethically priced? Well... that's hard to answer. Keep in mind, they pay pretty hefty rent fees for that kiosk. That's why kiosk wares in general cost a lot more than they do buying the same stuff from anywhere else. Also, the products are branded. The production cost of that is slightly higher. Do those factors cover the entire mark-up? No, probably not.
But let's talk about time. What is your time worth?
I couldn't afford a $150 kit. So I spend hours and hours and hours of my TIME researching before I bought anything. I got a kit for $35 that I was very happy with. But what is the worth of the time I spend researching?
Not everyone is willing to spend their time. Some people are more willing to spend their money.
3. How are you being paid? If it's mostly, or completely commission? Personally, I'd say run. Because if it's mostly/completely commission, you can work for 8 hours and go home with nothing. A bit of commission opportunity can be great, but if it's most or all of your income... it's a really tough grind. And I know that some of these kiosks work completely on commission.
People who earn good livings on mostly/completely commission jobs are few and far between - they have a gift for sales. So unless you're one of those people, don't even bother. I've done these kinds of jobs. I'm decent at sales. Not gifted, but decent. And I barely made a living working 6 days a week, 8 hours a day.
But, if they're paying you mostly/completely on a wage... I'd say go for it. The products they're selling DO work. There's stuff that works better, but it's not a scam. Hell, some people really like their super-minis.
Not everyone would rather spend time over money. And those people want to quit smoking, too. That's who Smoke 51 is catering to.
