So, I have been reading a lot on the e-cig controversy over the past few months and the amount of ignorance and mis-information is saddening. I am new to the whole scene so to speak so this may have been said already; however, this war is only going to be won on 2 fronts - numbers, of course, and the amount of proponents on the government's argument side. What I meant is that their argument is solely based on "health" concerns so the logical thing would be to really focus on getting doctors, professors, and any other people who are involved in health in anyway. I mean the government's argument falters unequivocally and quickly if they are playing the "health" card and the "health" card essentially says, "no, actually this is OK". That being said I think that it is of vital importance that we make an effort to talk to our own doctors - not only about how it has helped us, but go further and do what it takes to encourage them to look into it more for themselves and to become involved. I plan on doing it. The city where I live is actually home to a huge conglomerate of medical organizations and they are investing tons of money on building up a huge biomedical research facility in the area. While I am humbled as just one guy, I am going to try to find any sort of open meetings to be involved with and speak to groups of doctors whose hearts and interests rest with research...THESE are the types that are going to help the most.
Sure, having millions of vapers with awesome quit stories is beneficial, but until we get some doctors and health pros on board, this cause will never have the legitimacy that it so deserves because to opponents it looks just like a bunch of people who are supporting something they want to do...of course we do

. He sees the improvement in health in smokers who have turned to vaping, however he can not legally promote the use of ecigs. Off the record, he is all for it and encourages it vs smoking, if the discussion is brought up by the patient. Otherwise.............not a word is uttered from his mouf!
