...Connection threads, Wick/coil, Mixed performance.
Battery threads. The bottom threading, tank to battery is machined undersized. I had read of a few people having problems securing the tank on their battery mods. Wobbly when screwed fully on. Someone even said their mods threads were stripped.
After thoroughly studying the Vivi in preparation to make my mod I found a few Quality control issues.

1) tanks Battery connector is way undercut and can shear the batteries threads if over tightened. Even at 3/4 tight the tank wobbles excessively and there is a major amount of free movement up/down.
Recommendation to users - Insert a short 510/510 adapter. if threads fail you are out a buck or two instead of a VV mod.

2) Wicking issues - Lots of complaints here. Lots of speculation as to what is wrong also.
FIRST - Factory installed Wicks are of poor assembly quality.<have to move fast to produce large numbers of product and quality drops>
Speculation that the wick holes are to small seems to be incorrect. Wicks move freely within the holes and that should be enough to allow proper wicking.
Recommendation to users - Completely disassemble the tank to comfortable access the wick/coil. Confirm All coil loops are FULLY touching the wick and evenly spaced. Adjust the Wick/wire angles to minimize free wire distance to the (2) post. Make certain the wick/coil is NOT touching the metal base to avoid coil shorting.

Will the Smok tank work well as Designed?
Well.......Yes and No. Out of the Box, is someone is lucky enough to have gotten a well built coil, PROPERLY INSTALLED, and they are a tip/roll type Vaper it may just do the job.
For the rest of us - 20 minutes to go over/adjust things, fill and wet the top of the wick. Then treat it just like a CE4 or half full Viva Nova. Tip/Roll as you Vape.

Ultimately I considered this Tank an investment in parts to build a nice Mesh wick Tank. With the thread issue this might not be a keeper.
