Glad you are OK, gofishtx,

This forum tests one's willpower for sure... I did want to say to the OP, don't toss your unused equipment, sell it! There are people out there still wanting some of the products you aren't using, I'm sure. Offset your costs when you buy 7 new mods, and 15 new tanks, LOL.

I'm on a No Spending plan until I've quit for 6 months, when I joined this site deeming regs were weighing heavy on my mind, so I bought many things I feel I may not have a use for, but that was kind of the step (for me) to finding my "perfect" setups. Now that I have, the "itch" is much less, though it is still there when one of my favorite manufacturers puts out a new device of some kind or another.... But, I'm holding off and thinking that "The stuff I want will be cheaper by then anyway, and all the bugs will be ironed out." I don't regret any of my purchases, however, and if I have stuff I know I won't use, I'll either PIF or shove it in the Vacopalyse closet, as I'm sure that at some point, I'll either try using it again, or it will be of benefit to someone else... and then I try not to think about what is in there. Ever.

But, now that I'm super happy with my vape(s) and setups, it really is easier. I'm not exactly a hobbyist, but I will buy backups of things I really like, and I have a few of those, so I feel pretty set... Also, I didn't count all my costs but I will say this... I don't regret anything that got me one step closer to finding the Perfect Vape and hence, the ability to improve my health by quitting smoking. There is no price tag too high for that, IMO. I'd pay about a million dollars to not feel like I did the 18 months prior to quitting smoking for what I sincerely hope (and think) will be my final quit. :)

Anna
Thanks Anna. I don't regret any of my purchase either, I may blow this years budget though because I am really loving this Captain Mod and I want to try the combo RTA so I will probably purchase another mod and tank before the end of the year.....so, I'm just gonna step in it and call myself a liar and it will be 4 mods and tanks this year :p

Ive gone through lots of mods an a heck of a lot of Dual coil tanks ect looking for the Keepers, which are Aromamiser V2 , Supreme v2, Supreme plus , Supreme lite billow v3 plus Ijoy Exo RTA, Ijoy Limitless Classic RDTA, which offer me the best Flavours build space an capacity, Sold tons of others off
as i slowly upgraded them all to newer bigger capacity or Single coil high end RTA,s
to keep better quality items past TDP being in UK.
We had no reprieve like USA

When funds allowed i bought what i could afford some clones some Authentics of extremely high priced RTA,s ,

Every new tank sold in UK now is MAX 2ml capacity ,so i can still get the odd item shipped into UK at moment for how long IDK now so had a buying frenzy before may 2017

Moved completely away from any tank or subohm that took oem factory coils to only Rebuilables then any regs could not limit my vape , stocked up on cells too,

I used to buy a couple of each new tanks from china.
To sell one in to help part fund the one i used an when i sold that on after use im still up ,

UK over charges for stuff ,
so found most china sites can be either half price or even less ,
Which allows me to buy twice as much for my money
Dna mods picked up for 50£ when uk is 100£
when first out, an then id use points and % off to get cheaper ,
I own one Stabwood
70w mod ,want more Stabwood but dam expensive

Own only 6 x DNA mods of various sizes boards
+ 4 other mods

mechs
v2 noisey cricket V2 25
Able Av tube
Crosair tube
Cartel tube
6 Ijust2 mods
1 ijust S
And ive just sold off more than half of my mods an Tanks downsizing since mainly because i use Single coil RTA,s now so buying smaller mods and tanks

Heres some of my single coil RTA,s i own
in a pic i do usually own 2 of each incase i break lose or get stolen. If wasnt for clones Id not of bought some Authentics

Also own 1 of every steam Crave tanks inc the 30mm plus

And quite a few Rda,s but again started collecting single coils rda,s also for Sqounking with on my Cop vape BF mod , have around 12 rda,s
30 x sam 30Qs
12 x LG hG2
4 x VTC 6
6 x VTC 5
4 x VTC 5a
8 x 25R
So plenty of batteries stocked up too,

It's a hobby, but the important aspect is that I don't smoke and haven't since right after I started vaping. Three cartons a month were costing me over $100 7 years ago when I quit. That's more than $8500 saved since I started vaping. I think I've made money on the deal despite all the hardware I've bought!

I haven't kept records, but I've been really choicey in what I buy. I have close to 100 DIY flavors, mostly 10ml purchases with 30ml bottles once I know I like it.

The most I ever spent on a mod was $225 for a Provari on my first anniversary vaping. After that most all the mods have been $75 and under. I probably have 25 RTA's, most in the Kayfun category and all are MTL with the exception of a few Lemo variations that came with a mod kit and a Griffin 25 I hoped would be MTL adjustable.

I spent a couple of hundred getting started in DIY including scales, two liters of 100mg/ml nic base, and all the bottles, pipettes, and various DIY tools. I've saved a lot of money by not paying $50 or more a month on vendor juices.

My ADV is usually a Kayfun Lite Plus V2. I vape as much unflavored juice as I do flavored.
No doubt you save once you learn to make your own juice.
And the fun of cloning a juice you paid a dollar per ml, and now cost a nickel.....

Cloning and discovering new premium flavoured juices at a fraction of the shop costs. Is one the best parts of DIY ,
You learn so much,

you can splash out on big builds and not have to be stingy with your juices either. .

But still get a good buzz from finds new Flavour mixes
Or adding a little extra Flavours to ones you think lack a little to your preferred tastes,

I've begun to seriously slow down... :(

After the business with my poor breathing I felt it was time to stop buying gear and I've invested £11 on a skipping rope!

I've had my day in the sun and I'm sure once I get my cardio in check I'll be back on the websites...
