totally agree... the degree of cinnamon oil is key too.
i.e. Cinabomb or Atomi Cinnacide will do me in after chain vaping it for a few days... I'm over that stuff.

just recently, i got some SinABun which tastes like Snickerdoodle, but spicey with cinnamon oil.... bingo, got about 4 spots after days heavy use.

I love Snickerdoodle (Vapor Bomb or Velvet Vapors) if it isnn't too heavy on the cin/oil.... my favorite.
I get an occasional mouth ulcer whenever I vape anything cinnamon. Never had mouth ulcers before vaping and now if I vape cinnamon anything I'll get one or two. Tested it several times and it always happens. One day of cinnamon vapes for me equals a mouth ulcer.

Just sayin

I was told by my dental hygenist that this is a common symptom when quitting smoking. When I first quit I used the commit lozenges- got the ulcers, blamed the lozenges. Quit using the lozenges and vaped exclusively for 3 months, still ulcers, blamed the vaping. Quit vaping and went to swedish snus, still ulcers, then dental hygenist told me what she did. I got a prescription for antiviral cream which made them go away quickly if I used it as soon as i felt one coming on. After about 7 or 8 months ciggie free, they just stopped happening. Due to them coming on nomatter what I was doing, I think it was from quitting ciggies for me.

I was the same. In fact after 3 months into vaping, my canker sores finally let up.

One look on the web and I found that mouth sores are not vape-specific but quit-smoking-specific.

Smoking & Canker Sores

Actually, I found that most of the symptoms I've read here have been reported from quitters that used
to smoke. The interesting factor being, they never vaped either. The common factor was that they quit smoking.

Here's some more interesting stuff where most of these people were Chantix users, not vapers.

Shortness of breath after stopping smoking >> Medical Questions, Weight Loss, Pregnancy, Drugs, Health Insurance

My personal consensus is, it gets better once the body has adjusted to the change. Which of the 6,000+ chemicals it's adjusting to not having, I really wish I had the answer to. But it's definitely more than just nicotine.

i think i am confusing "canker" with what i'd call blisters... which i get from the heat/nic/chemicals/cinnamon oil...

the reason i know it's the vaping is they (blisters) occur where i put the drip tip... if i get it on one side of my lips, i'll move to vape mostly on the other side, then blisters occur there, then i move to the middle of my lips etc...

There may be different kinds of mouth sores but I have had them my whole life. The doctor told me that they are similar to shingles... we all have the potential for them but only some people get them with different triggers. A fever, stress, sunburn, pH balance off in your system. The last one seems very likely for ex-smokers and new vapers. Getting that awful gas too? Yup... your pH balance is off.

Eat some yogurt a few times a week and all the cold sores and bad farts will disappear. Use lip balm with sunscreen on your lips. Take St John's Wort for stress... it makes you feel calm.

Mouth sores are painful and scary if you aren't used to them, but they are not deadly -- like cigarettes. Your body is just reacting to changes. It will pass.

Hope this helps. :)

Others have concurred; vaping Cinabomb all day for a couple days and I know i will get blisters... on the roof of my mouth as well as lips.
So i believe cinnamon oil is a factor is some form of sores... there are other flavors/vendors that use more or less of that type of cinn. oil that will give more or less the same effect.

Before I started smoking I would get cankers all the time, usually 2-4 at any given moment. When one healed, a new one would take it's place. Sometimes they would cluster together to form monster sores.

When I started smoking, they just went away. For the eight years I smoked, I never had a canker sore.

Now that I quit, they're back again. For me, at least, it seems there is something in the tobacco smoke that prevented them from forming. Obviously I started vaping so that I could avoid cigarettes, but if I'm going to be dealing with this again, I think I'm going to be depressed.

I don't want to go back to cigarettes.

Well, I am stumped- You could call me a veteran vaperer as I am nearly 2yrs into it. I developed a sore throat 3 weeks ago as well as a sore ear, only to find out that this 'sore throat' was an ulcer underneath my tongue. Meanwhile, my doctor has prescribed 2 courses of antibiotics as well as Acclovir for ulcers. It has shrunk a bit, but still not gone. At this stage I am thinking serious problems (like the big C) etc. I have also used mouthwash, baking soda, kenalog in orabase and it will still not let up. I also have a tenderness to the roof of my mouth as well as tongue. My whole mouth is sore! I have stopped my beloved Kona coffee vape, as I think that could be an additional culprit to my agony. I am seeing my dentist this afternoon- hopefully I don't need to stop vaping, as I really do not want to go back to cigarettes. Please help-
