That Wisemic setup looks good on paper. My only suggestion would to get 6 batteries instead of just 3, so that you can still vape while the first set is charging.

I had a Wisemic RX200 myself. Used it everyday for nearly a year until the 510 connector became wonky (common complaint with Wisemic). It fit well in my rather large hands. It was a very heavy mod, especially for out-and-about. Sadly, I only got a little over a days use on a charge with my three Samsung 30Q 15A 3000mAh batteries, vaping at 30 watts.

Something in previous thread sounded a bit naughty! :p

Really to be honest, I dont have a fixed budget. I prefer to get something good. If its expensive, it is what it is! I was going through the myVapeStore website. The full build was something like $150. Charger, battery, tank and the mod (considering the Wisemc). Of course, if you can guide me to something better at a better cost, why not! This is what i thought i would get, before deciding to ask the experts.

I would definitely advise against buying that.

The spring 510 connector is not leak proof. A tank will have condensate or minor leaking: it pours through the pin and into the board causing a lot of issues.

This is the kind of issue that a reviewer doesn't get when they get their free sample and use it for a couple days. It's something that gets more common the more you use it. If it's your main workhorse, keep away.

Ok. Wisemec is out then! Alternatives?

My go to suggestions are the Vaporesso Revenger X, Smoant Cylon, and Voopoo Drag.

I think everyone should have a dual 18650 regulated mod. It will serve you well for a long time. Even when you upgrade or get something more specialized (single battery, squonk, mechanical, mini mod) you can still use it to build and test.

If you're interested in a 2-battery mod, my current backup is the Segelei Fuschai 213 Plus. It won't hit the advertised 213 watts output (probably more like 150 watts). It's well constructed, durable 510 connector, nice multi-colored display screen which provides battery voltage in real time of both batteries. Has Temp Control but I've never used it.

My primary mod is the JAC Vapour series B DNA75W. Goes with me everywhere. I think the world about the DNA chip. I get a full day use with a single battery at 30 watts. Also has temp control. Sold by a very reputable manufacturer. Can only be purchased at Jac Vapour.

The tank I use is the ORIGINAL Uwell Crown. (Not the Crown 2, 3, or Valarian -- don't try to fix what is not broken.) Easy top fill. 4 ml capacity. Wide choice of coil options (0.15, 0.25, 0.5, 1.2 ohm). Ratcheted air control ring can adjust from a tighter mouth-to-lung to a wide open direct-to-lung draw. Coils last me 4 weeks.

Just one question, most of these mods have some different watt rating, some 157W, some 220W and some 250W, what difference does it make?

Nothing, it's a difference in the chipset. Some have features that let them artificially increase the wattage output/voltage. But in practice, not many people use that much power. Aside from the people live near @Kiyle the Manlet

It's like if you're buying a car. Does it matter if you have one that tops out at 140mph, 160mph, or 155mph if all you're doing is commuting to work?

Brilliant! Thanks for all the info guys! It was really nice talking about this. Was thinking of Valentine's gift for myself. Let me get over all of the mods and place an order!

Happy Valentine's Day everybody! :)

I ordered a new tank for valentine's for myself. Can't wait to put my mouth all over it. :hubba:

What dom said is right, but it also depends on how many batteries are in the device. Two batteries means 150 or so. 3 will get you about 200, but again as Dom said, the vast majority of vapers (except for in my area for some reason) don't really need a mod with 150+ watts capabilities. It's more of a marketing technique.

Also, if you are wanting to get into that super high wattage range, your best bet is using an unregulated mod with at least two batteries. Again, I don't recommend it because it takes an intimate knowledge of battery safety and ohms law in order for it to be operated safely.

Reading this interesting thread, I noticed how the old Nautilus is still higlly recommended, but what about the Triton Mini which was considered an hybrid in between MTL and DL? I am still using them and I keep looking for an upgrade, but in my opinion, are still the best MTL tanks in the market...
Honestly I've heard good things about the Triton, never used one and simply forget they exist. Hear the coil options are good too.
