I really like the Purple Illusion and the Blooming Lilac but I think my favorite of those would be the Galaxy - in the close up it almost looks like the 'stars' are coming out of it :)

As hard as I try pictures just don't capture everything. I have found the best is video so I try my hardest to post videos in the description on our web site. The video capture the "movement" that a picture just can't. The one comment that I get from everyone is they look much better in person and I have to agree. Here is a link to our youtube channel if you would like to see more.

Very cool tips!! What does "stabilized" mean? I've seen that in descriptions of wood mods.

Stabilizing is a process that I actually do here. I will give you the short example.
The wood is dried and cut larger than needed
after being cut it is submerged in a resin and placed in a vacuum chamber where a vacuum of somewhere around 28in.Hg. is placed on the wood. At this point the air is removed from the wood. A good indication of all of the air being removed is the wood stops bubbling. At this point I will let the blank sit under the vacuum for an hour or so to ensure there is no air remaining. I then remove the vacuum and let the blanks sit for another hour or so. This allows the wood to absorb as much resin as possible. Next the wood gets removed from the chamber and resin and goes straight into an oven to activate the resin. When finished the wood fibers are no longer hollow and in turn no longer able to absorb moisture. In my testing I have submerged stabilized wood in tank cracking high nic liquid and in normal water without any swelling or the typical discoloration you would expect from unstabilized wood. The stabilized wood takes on the characteristics of plastic when dine right. I have a few Stabilized wood mods with DNA 20 chipsets and on board chargingthat I need to get finished and put on our site also. Hope this helps

Yes it does! Thank you! I have wood mod, which I now know has to be unstable (of course it is!).

Okay - I haven't taken my own pictures, but this is the one Fono took. He made her. Her name is Infanta del Phidiae and she is a Phidias bottom-feeder I got for my one year vapeversary! She the one standing up.

If you look closely at the grain, there is a frog, a cat/squirrel, mushroom, a scotty dog, a wolf, a baboon, a puppy and a steamer ship (so far).

I looked up "monadnock." Cool, I've seen pictures of them, but just assumed they were called that flat mountain thingy over there by itself - but lo! And like behold 'n stuff! I found a country I've never heard of before. I swear they should make globes out of the dry eraser board material, so you could move the countries around.

Has Carmen Sandiego ever been to Burkina Faso?

OOPS!! My bad I ment pictures of our products not the competitions. I should have been more clear. But I did say no rules. That one came back to bite me. Ok the only rule as of now Pictures of our products I'm still trying to make a name for us. Cool mod though.

I have LOADS of interesting landforms ingrained in my memory, a product of years and years of educational drilling. And, no, I don't recommend Carmen Sandiego or anyone make a visit to Sub-Saharan Africa any time soon.;)

He makes like a dozen unique wood mods every couple of years, it's his hobby and he's easily distracted. I don't think he can even nip you. No website; no advertising; doesn't sell any other products. Next week I'll post a picture of the sodalite tip on the ocelot box mod, but the colors clash. :)
