I'm 43 in March. My wife took a picture of the back of my head last night while I was painting her toes and I looked and saw grey hair. I was like OMG, and she responded with: It's been there, and I was: Oh, okay. And life went on. :D

Painting toes, ummmm, yeah ok, I believe you...... ummmm, oh nebber mind! :p:facepalm:

Welp. I opened the box to the new puter. Looked at the instructions
and stuff. Had visions of hooking it up while they were out getting passport
photos and kid practicing parallel parking, but lost that vision. Maybe
sometime today or in the next few days I'll tangle the kid up into hooking new
puter up. It's always such a mess of cords and moving things around and there's
...dust and stuff. LOL

Read the abstract, then was excited and read the study. The important:

"Conclusions: Although regular smoking leads to an acute impairment of left ventricular function, the use of e-cigarette for inhaling nicotine-containing liquid exerts no acute adverse effects on cardiac function. Further research is urgently needed since the use of e-cigarettes is continuously rising and it could be a potentially useful method for smoking cessation."

another piece of good news, things are indeed looking up :)

FDA wants to lump e-cigs in with tobacco products because of the nicotine.
I wonder if they ever heard that chocolate contains nicotine. ????

That's bad,bad news. That can mean no more fruity, dessert, etc., flavors. A few years ago they banned clove cigarettes because they were considered flavored and enticing to young people (minors). The clove manufacturers were forced to add tobacco to them to bring them into non-flavored territory, and label them as cigars.

That FDA rule still stands, and could be applied to juice, since it will be a tobacco product.

And the taxes..... Oh, the tobacco taxes......

NOT if we can convince them that chocolate is also a nicotine delivery item :)

That gets it out of the tobacco realm altogether. control, taxes, restrictions etc etc

Yeah I think you're right. Whether his mommy didn't give him enough attn growing up or he can't
find a girlfriend, he's attn deprived. I will just totally skip over his postings and post directly to the op,
inviting them here.

That individual is one of the reasons that the "I-95" song was written, it also has another name the "A..h...." song, a friend of mine wrote that a long time ago, however for whatever reason it keeps being credited to "Jimmy Buffett", it's very appropriate for this type of individual. OH ,crap now I can't get the song out of my head! Damn.....

Back from spirometry with some pretty amazing news... my lung function is, as near as makes no difference, in the 90th percentile... and I'm still fighting off this bug, so that's incredible. To understand just how incredible, I should explain that my lung function has been, at *best*, around 40% since I was about 14 (i.e. well before I ever smoked)... I'd given up hope of ever getting it any higher than about 60%. So to be at 90% a few months after a major lung infection is.... well, put it this way, after the first round of results, we made a mutual decision to retest the whole shebang in a different spirometry pod just to rule out the possibility that the *equipment* was faulty.

So, still kind of stunned (in a good way) and, er... vaping is awesome?

I'll go back for a retest next month because absolutely none of us are convinced this wasn't a bizarre fluke of some kind, but for now, I'll take it.

Vaping some Maple Pecan in a general celebratory fashion as I gird myself for turkey brining and side dish prep.... we're doing our Christmas tomorrow, dinner and presents both.

Wow that's incredible and in only such a short time frame :)

to dusty: that person visited my profile page. i feel violated. View attachment 288465

Ohhhh, I guess I am going to need dish out some Southern Justice on that person! It's very rare that I have such an intense dislike for someone that I have never met face to face, but there are exceptions to every rule and this one qualifies!
