Ugh finding the right amount of cotton is a pain, any tips?

i dont know what you're building, but for me i just keep playing with it. i try to make it a nice little even roll. the rule of thumb i've heard is that when you pull it through the coil there should be no resistance, but fit nicely in. I hate the little bumps of cotton i get in my nicely even thread! Lol

"Less is better";

Cotton will expand when the juice hits it, I have found that having my wick "formed snug, not tight" where it is approx half the center of my coils is best. When I add juice it swells but doesnt "puff out" on either side of the coil. There are some in the camp where the cotton needs to be a thinly veiled mesh inside the coil but I do not like it like that. YMMV

On the bright side cotton is cheap, wire is cheap, when you find YOUR perfect mix you will have the method down pat :)

I do not use the cotton ball/boiling thing either. I just buy the sterile rolled cotton, no boiling needed.

Ok boys and girls, the strangest thing happened this morning, my door bell was being rung like someone was on crack or something and I expected it to be one of the neighbor kids across the way, they have done this before and ran, that is until I caught them doing it once, scared the crap out of the little buggers, as soon as they went to ring it, there were 6 of them about 6 - 10 years old, I snatched open the door real quick, funny as hell, anyway it wasn't them, it was my Maillady, she didn't hang around by the time I got to the door and opened it she was already back in her jeep, she left a package by the door, she has never, ever done that, she typically puts them in the big box out by the street. Well, get the package in, look at where it came from and it was from MBV, heavy and couldn't figure out what the hell it was, I haven't been able to order since I got the flavorings a month and 1/2 ago, whatever, anyway, inside were 5 bottles of 50/50 PG/VG one of which was 36 mg of Nic juice and there were also 14 bottles of flavoring in there as well and 3 1 oz empty bottles for putting juice in, oh and they did come with 4 of the pour spouts. So, Santa and his elves where at work here big time, it's not often that I get choked up but this did it! So Santa and all your helpers, I want to thank you so very much, I cannot express how much this has meant to me. Damn getting choked up again! Ok, I just had to get that out. There are some truly awesome folks around, I have never seen so many in one place in my life! I just have no words for how this made me feel! :toast::banana::party::rickroll::thumb::wub:

Crap, my vamo connection is totally flooded with juice. Ugh I don't understand why I'm doing wrong here

You need to add the flavor wicking back in as well. Cotton on top of the cotton filled coil. At least that is what worked for me.

Back from spirometry with some pretty amazing news... my lung function is, as near as makes no difference, in the 90th percentile... and I'm still fighting off this bug, so that's incredible. To understand just how incredible, I should explain that my lung function has been, at *best*, around 40% since I was about 14 (i.e. well before I ever smoked)... I'd given up hope of ever getting it any higher than about 60%. So to be at 90% a few months after a major lung infection is.... well, put it this way, after the first round of results, we made a mutual decision to retest the whole shebang in a different spirometry pod just to rule out the possibility that the *equipment* was faulty.

So, still kind of stunned (in a good way) and, er... vaping is awesome?

I'll go back for a retest next month because absolutely none of us are convinced this wasn't a bizarre fluke of some kind, but for now, I'll take it.

Vaping some Maple Pecan in a general celebratory fashion as I gird myself for turkey brining and side dish prep.... we're doing our Christmas tomorrow, dinner and presents both.

That is *fabulous* news! Absolutely wonderful!

I could but it would mess with my multi monitor array :p I could have just rotated the pictures though. I have one of them clip on lenses for the iphone, close ups come out way better, but, LAZY.

You need one of my monitors, then - that rotate from landscape to portrait. :)
