WOW!!! Thanks Sean, learned a lot. It took me long time to read :D Now I know why Provari has so many haters.....
How can you know so many informations?? LOL
I love u, dad

Sincerely
Your son.

 You're welcome, son. Sorry for giving you a giant wall of text to wade through, but I figured since you asked the question, you'd prefer to have most of the info you need in one place. As far as Provari haters, I think a lot of people hate on Provaris because a few vocal Provari owners are very pretentious about owning Provaris, and try to claim that Provari is the only high end device out there... which most people know is not true, and those kinds of claims irritate the rest of us because it tends to lure new people into thinking they should start with a Provari, when most new people could start with something a little (or a lot!) cheaper that functions in the same way, and then buy a Provari later if they want to have a Provari or like the idea of US manufacturing and a warranty. If, when I was new, someone had told me that "the only way to vape!!" was to buy a $200 mod, plus batteries, plus charger, I wouldn't be vaping now. As it is, I'm vaping on affordable gear, staying off the smokes, and I may well get a Provari *some day*... but if I do, I'll be getting it knowing that I'm getting it to support US manufacturers and for the warranty, not because "it's the only way to vape!!"

Most Provari owners are fantastic people, and many of them saved up to get a Provari for the right reasons, and they don't answer every single "what should I buy?" question with "get a Provari!!" As with many things, it's the vocal few that cause the problem, and the majority end up embarrassed by them.

As far as how I know so much - lots of research! Going back to smoking would literally kill me, sooner rather than later, so I decided that if I was going to vape instead, I should learn everything I could about it so I could do it the right way for me. I'm still learning. :)

Thanks Sean, oh wait, you said most ;)

I smoked a three hundred dollar bill every month so I got a Provari and had change left over after extension bottom cap and 1 year extended warranty.

I miss the variable wattage and ego threading from my Vamos so I hope to use their upgrade system if they ever decide to offer them.

I hope Provari does come out with an upgrade soon, cause I definitely want to see them keep pace with the other stuff on the market - they're a stellar company and they deserve continued success.

See, if I was spending $300 a month on smokes, I could definitely see jumping straight to a Provari (though for me, the MVP2 is the better gear... I need a *giant* battery). Smokes are only about $5.15 a pack where I live, and I really couldn't afford *that*, so my smoking expense and thus my vape budget is less than half of what yours is.

<3 I remember few days ago when I was looking around in the "New Members Forum". There were few topics are arguing about Provari. I was like ..., why they need to get mad because of a product. lol And yes I agree with u, we shouldn't judge what other people buy unless they are being offensive.
Btw I just took a look of the Kato Hammer, it loos like a video game weapon LOL!!!!!!!

I want that Hammer. :D It's far from practical for me - I'd run that battery dead three times a day, even in 18650 mode - but man, I want it. I'm still considering it for tax return time, we'll see.

This is Taxachusetts.
They raised taxes (surprise!) a few months after I quit so now it's $9 for Special Blend Morleys.
I used to drive 50 miles round trip to get mine $25 less/carton in NH. That was in summer.

Right now I'd be paying $350-$400/month. That's ....ing insane. #IMPROOF that vaping makes you less insane :)

the innokin itaste vv3 is vv and vw, works as a passthrough also. it's about the size of a spinner but squared off on the sides. it's cool looking with a lot of features for the size and it's inexpensive, around 30-40 dollars. sorry I don't have a link for you....just trying to get through the thread, which has taken me all night long!

Oh, that's sweet.

And ouch, that's pricey...

Hm... doesn't look like it's VV... watching videos now.

But... oh, tempted...

Piggy, you are fitting right in here! You are funny!! Now, let me say that I have 2 Provaris and I think they are outstanding devices. I use them almost exclusively and not for status. Sean knows that about me. :) I am so glad I bought them because I know they'll last a lifetime and if anything goes wrong after the warranty is up, they can be sent in to Provape and fixed for usually around 25 dollars, and sent back to you within a week. You can drop them on cement over and over without causing them damage. They are that tough. That being said, I have 2 Vision Spinners, which are great, an ego passthrough, which I used non stop on a 1200 mile drive to Missouri last summer. Now I have the MVP2, love it, and plan on getting the itaste vv3 tomorrow. There are lots of great devices out there....just had to defend the Provari a little bit. I'm not a Provari snob by any means but once you own one, you "get it". I try to remember to back up my back ups so I'll keep ordering different mods as I go forward. It's fun to try different products....keeps things interesting!....and of course the bottom line is that whatever you end up using is the best for you if it keeps you from smoking cigs! :) ........yay! I made it through the thread! It took me somewhere around 7 hrs. or so!! Now I can try to get some sleep. g'night to whoever is still up! cya later!

if you own a MVP2, you can charge a v3 with it. w/o a charger, a v3 can be had for $28! (they upped it 2 bucks :glare:)

Good morning MBV :) TGIF!!

I keep looking at the bottle with my little 510 atty in hand, still not brave enough. It seems like some kind of fu-fu country bath moisturizer to me. :p I will try it though!
To my palate, it is more like chewing slightly odd gum. I like Cucumber Mint, but I won't vape it every day. I will say that it is an interesting break from all of my other flavors in rotation, a nice change of pace. :thumb:
I want to ask one question...
What are the differences between middle level device (like SID, MVP2, Lavatube) and high-end level device (Provari) ?
I am very happy with my SID, I just want to know until what point, people would upgrade their device to high-end level.

Another question, is there any other high-end level brands like Provari? What are their names? Thanks!!!
Hv a great night!
It seems to me that most people equate "high-end" with "costs a lot of money." I think another high-end mod that hasn't been mentioned is the Billet Box. If you only vape one flavor in a day, it might be worth looking at since the tank is built into the mod. I have held one, and they just feel so well-made and solid.
Mech mods are easy (the Hammer is a mech mod, actually, so technically I touched on them a bit): Metal tube, supply your own batteries and chips, and as with RBAs, learn enough to not blow yourself up. ;)

But Pig is new to all of this, so I was trying to give him an overview without overwhelming him with info.

Bottom line, Pig, you can spend *ridiculous* amounts of money chasing the perfect mod... and there's nothing wrong with that, provided a) you can afford it, b) you know how to use what you're buying (i.e. don't buy a mech mod and try to vape it at 20 watts without at least knowing the amp limit of your battery and putting a fuse in there) and c) you're willing to tell yourself when to stop. The classifieds here are *full* of gear that people have moved past in their vaping journey, but they're also full of purchases that people regretted because they didn't research what they were getting first, and now they're trying to recoup a loss. Don't buy expensive just to have expensive (especially if you can't afford it) and don't buy cheap just because it's cheap... when and if you want to get something to supplement your SID, research, think about it, research some more, ask questions on the boards, research some more, and when you're sure, *then* buy... whether it's cheap or expensive.

And Mia, if you pour that Vanilla Butternut down the sink I will *hunt you down*! ;)
Mia is so very right about me! I own an Nzonic clone, and it is the best $30+ I have spent on a mechanical. It feels and performs like many "high-end" mechanicals, but didn't cost as much. Like Mowgli has already posted, Caravela makes very nice mechanical mods (but unaffordable for many of us). They are beautiful, some say works of art. I understand that, but when I'm vaping I'm paying less attention to beauty and more attention to performance. :)

Have a good one, all!! :D
