I actually think that Orb might be right, Uno...here's why...folks who don't know anything about MBV might click on that thread first looking for information. If we have another "Chat" thread somehow labeled as such, then it's reasonable to think they might know what it is about before they visit the thread.

But that's just my :2c:

I'll change the other title as soon as the OP lets me know it's ok with him, it will all work out, I'm not at the point to discuss a couple upcomin' changes just yet ;)

There's a couple thread options regardin' our playground, we do actually answer quite a bit of questions here, anyway we can stay in the section we are in or we can start up a social thread, it's really what you all want....

Think about it some and we'll decide as a group...
Yes, ^^^^ this :)

Uno, do we know for sure that there will be a need to start a new thread? And do we know when that will need to happen??
(If you know and are allowed to share that info...)

EDIT: Nevermind....I just saw your post above :D

I have already talked to one of our friends regarding that, it's taken care of, trust me ;)

Just need to decide if we want a social group thread or stay where we can answer the occasional question...

I do trust you :) It's just my OCD nature showing again...

I do vote for being able to answer questions...I think there are enough of us willing and able to contribute to those who are willing to ask us :D

I vote for staying here. It's nice to get fresh blood in here and we will get more traffic here.

I do tend to agree to that, however at some point in time a chatty thread may be moved to the social forum, it's a judgement decision by the higher-ups ;)

Nothin' we need to worry about now though...

You all decide :)

He posted that he didn't want to change the title of his thread.

Just to clarify what I said I didn't mean that I was going to ignore the other thread. I will keep an eye on it and add to it if I can. I just liked the way this thread was when I first started posting here.

another point to consider is that some very valuable information gets buried rather quickly. before i posted in this thread, i had a bunch of juice reviews bookmarked. it helped me decide on some orders. since then, there have been many fine contributions to the thread. i'd like someplace where we could have some stickie threads. Stone and Mowgli do some very good juice reviews and tips, Mike and others have some good ideas on DIY, Sean has his steeping aid, and Ozzie, alone, could do 5 or 6 different threads of his own on RBAs, spread sheets, fixing computers and more. "outsiders" might see this as a gab-fest, but there's a ton of good info in here.

bottom line is that there is alot to consider.

like i keep saying/asking. why can't it be something similar to the reo forums. they have things exactly like this. stickies and all.
is it james doesn't want to moderate it? does it even need to be moderated via him if unos is there?
this solves all the problems, except for being up and front in the general liquid forum. i dont' care where my forums i frequent are. i frequent them via the what's new"my posts" function at the top.

I could be wrong about this, because we're not allowed there...but I think if a supplier has a "Supplier's Forum" they have some responsibility in maintaining it. I believe that's the part that James doesn't feel like they have the manpower to take care of effectively...

EDIT: Some suppliers do have ECF members designated as Supplier's Associates, and they do/can help with the forum...maybe if we had a few volunteers, James might reconsider??

I believe that's up to James, I'm still learnin' aspects pertaining to supplier threads and the rules they are under, there's lots to pick-up let-along retain ;)

I do believe there's a 2 open tread rule regardin' supplier threads, need to ask some questions when I get home today. Either way it may or may not be something James is willing to take on...

I really need to get to work

This might also be an opportunity to title the thread so that people aren't cranky when we chat "off topic." I suggest it only because there is already a http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/511489-mtbakervaporii.html thread...

we need to find a way to keep things separate, so that new folks don't get confused or upset. would there be any logic in a thread in the general e-smoking section? folks could link replies there?

we need to consider how the mods will view all of this and try to do things in a way that makes sense to them. we don't want Mike shouldering a load of stuff on account of us.

My thoughts regarding a place for us miscreants... I like the idea of the Social>Product & Vendor Specific area & having our own little place. I check out the HHV Army forum quite a bit (my favorite NET vendor). There can be more than just 1 thread - RBA stuff, juice stuff, chatty stuff, kelli's latest avi , who's turn it is to clean the doghouse, etc... If there's still a thread in Gen E-liquid that's less chatty, our area would still get mentioned from time to time for the fresh blood as well as being a place to answer questions & such.

Wait, what? Did I just get volunteered for something? What's going on? Who are you people? This isn't where I parked my car. *slowly back steps towards the doghouse*

Kuala must have given it back, :(

sent from my Limited Edition Monkey Island™ Talking Voodoo Doll Head named Murray®

:innocent:

I just made sure I played with the rotts. :) Lovely pups.

Wow that was quite a bit of work airing out and shaking all the mbv liquids. Phew. I didn't even do the other vendor's stuff. I did build a microcoil though. 9 wraps shoved into a pt 2 head, comes out to 1.4 ohms.

Had to crack open a Guinness to see me through. :) ever so slowly I'm building up extra coils though. I think I will make a couple more tomorrow

On my list soon - figuring out what to order to replace coils in a pt2 head. But not until I kill the first head.

I don't want to move this to the social section. We answer a *lot* of questions over here. While I understand that the thread can get chatty, I hang here for TWO reasons - there's a ton of good info AND it's friendly.
