I'm an insanely compulsive tinkerer :) So really, it SHOULD have taken me about a month to break even on the cost of smokes vs cost of vapes, and another month or less to go well below considering I was spending $265+/mo on cigs. However... Last month I went a little nuts buying flavors, went through a metric crapton of cartos with trial and error on how to prime and fill them properly, etc. I must have burned at least 5 or 6, filled a number of them to the point of being near useless, and in an attempt to clean a few cartos, lost track of time and um... Yeah, the smell of boiled away water + vape juice + burning metal? Yeah. Bad. Just bad.

Good luck :) I'm at about a month and a half now. Bought my first ecig kit on February 17th, had my last analog on February 18th, and haven't looked back.

I smoked under a pack a day so my ecig habit is costing me way more right now but I'm really ok with that. 5 weeks analog free now, so well worth it! Went to my local B&M today and talked to them about an ego twist. I've vowed to spend no more $ for a couple weeks tho, so I'll be researching it, among others before my next purchase!

I started with ego twists, and still use them sometimes. I think that TH can be influenced by the liquids themselves in conjunction with delivery systems. There are some liquids that I prefer using a carto with, and others I like to put in a clearo. I experimented to see what worked for me. You can also increase TH with more PG in your juice, and some say higher nic content increases TH. If I'm looking for more TH in a carto, I usually try Boge LR first (do not let these run dry, it's really bad when it happens). If you are looking at clearos, you might look at top coils first since it's a warmer vape. I don't know if this is rambling or helpful, but maybe it will help you some.

A quick question from a newbie. I have found a couple of flavors I like from mtbaker but would like to increase the flavor some. How much does each extra flavor shot increase the flavor? 10% 20%? I would like a general ideal so I can re-order but not get overwhelmed with flavor. The two I am asking about are Butter Pecan and Salted Caramel in 70/30 PG/VG at 24mg nic.

Thanks Stoneface. I think I might have some cartos from some stuff I ordered a few months back. Will have to go through my collection. Gonna be doing quite a bit of reading in the next 2 weeks. I am definitely know that the liquid is a factor. I'm using 80/20 pg/vg from mbv.
No problem. I haven't tried anything higher than 80 PG, but I also don't know anyone who has (I'm sure someone on ECF does vape higher PG). Yes, there is so much to read here on ECF and you will learn quite a lot that way. Unfortunately, all of it is opinion and your experience will only tell you what works. I almost hate to say it since it will cost money, but if you can purchase one top coil clearo (like a CE4, Kanger T2, Vivi Nova, etc) and one bottom coil (like a Kanger T3, Mini T3, or EVOD) it might help point you in a direction. One of the great things about the twist is that you can put almost anything on it since it has both kinds of threads. I don't know what battery you are using now, but I like the egos personally, I think they are very flexible.

What they offer on their website is what they've found to be the optimal flavor ratio.

I suggest, try the flavors without any extra shots. Be sure to let them steep. This is essential with a LOT of MBV juices. 10 days is typical. If you're unfamiliar with steeping, do a simple search for "steeping" in this forum's search box.

If you like them the way they are, then good! If, however, after steeping, you still find the flavor lacking, then I would suggest a single flavor shot on your next re-order. Repeat the process until you get the flavor you're looking for.

One bit of warning. Be careful with taking flavor shots too far. As has been stated, MBV juices steep, and some flavors develop later on. By "spiking" the juice with too many flavor shots, you may just find your all-day vape completely unvape-able.

So I ordered from MBV for the first time last week. My order came on Friday when I was on a 9 hr drive to see my son in NC for the weekend. Came home last night..ripped open the package and just had to try them. Awesome juice!
I was getting these exact flavors from another vendor and wanted to try the same from MBV..I am very impressed.
Here is what I got...all 18 Mg 65/35 pg/vg

Wild cherry 1 flavor shot....amazing!
Vanilla custard ...very good...will order this with a flavor shot next time
Cherry bomb 1 flavor shot.....very nice!
Orange dream bar ...awesome! This blows my other orange cream right out of the water!
Kahlua ...this needs to steep a bit..will try again next week.
Root beer float .....I filled a tank last night and have not put it down!!! This juice rocks!
Razzle dazzle ...free sample. Have not tried it yet.

I will be definitely be trying the butterscotch next....and any suggestions that anyone has.

MBV is my new favorite juice vendor.:D

Chocolate cherry trials update.

Custom mix of 1/2 black cherry, 1/4 sweet cream and 1/4 dark chocolate tastes really good. I let the bottle breathe briefly, stored for three days, and vaped from a T3 at about 3.7 volts. It is quite tasty, and I have a feeling it will improve over time. It doesn't taste anything like a chocolate covered cherry (by design), but more like a slice of Black Forest cake.

Actually, I should have named it Black Forest.

;)

Holy crap. Sold.

This makes me want to try 3/4 Maple Pecan and 1/4 Pie Crust on my next order. See if I can get me some pecan pie action happening.

Haven't even gotten my last order in yet and I'm already planning for the next.

I'm going to go ahead and chime in on the salted caramel gunking issue real quick...

I haven't touched my T3's since I got into RBA's so 99% of my juice has been going through my IGO-L RBA in the last few weeks. I find that the salted caramel is gunking up that coil too. It's very sad, as I LOVE the juice, but don't like having to re-wick my RBA every few days. Maybe this is just a good way to make sure my stash of the salted caramel juice is always stocked up.

Also, after 3ish weeks of steeping (maybe more?) the sticky bun is now my go-to morning vape. It's PERFECT with coffee. It's been added to my "juices to keep a 3ml bottle of in my bag for dripping throughout the day". Wonderful!

Hm, never tried the regular peach, but the Peach Rings is aaaawesome. Although based on the smell of it with 0 shots, it doesn't seem like a flavor that could handle extra shots very well. Even with 0 it's kinda perfumey.

And Peach Rings IS PEACH! I got it as a freebie and gave it away because i couldn't get it toned down to where I could use it. The person I gave it to said it was delicious but they like peaches, go figure.

Ok, so the Sucker Punch at 12mg nic 80VG 20PG freebie from MBV

Tastes kinda like a muted Sambuca, has kind of an alcohol tinge to it with subtle (very subtle) anise flavor. I also get a tinge of citrus, not sweet, but like there is a twist of rind or zest. If anyone else has tried it let me know if yours is close to mine in flavor. Not my cup of tea. Maybe if it were sweeter. Happy Vaping

Well I gave in and decided to try the Sucker Punch, I'm getting more citrus, maybe a touch of anise. It's not bad, certainly vapable, not going to be a favorite of mine I don't think though. Funny, some drags I get more anise, some are more of a citrus flavor. Could be interesting as it gets more mature.

I only put about .5ml into my Z-atty Pro, I think I will give all my other flavors a sample tonight. Kind of wish I had some unflavored juice to run through between flavors to make sure I'm not getting any artifacts from previous flavor samples.

MBV's Butterscotch is my main vape. I like to fill a clearo or two with other flavors just to change things up. Today, I had one filled with Moondog and one with butterscotch. I accidentally added moondog to the butterscotch one. It tasted good. How is that possible? Fruity flavor with butterscotch?? It should have been awful, but they complimented each other nicely.

I just placed an order today for four new flavors. Can't wait until they arrive.

It took me all of 7 seconds to dump some MBV Sweet Cream into it. As soon as I tasted the Peach Rings, something in my brain clicked and I knew that it must be so. And the Gods of Joose were pleased by my effort.

I would recommend trying the Carmel Apple with 2 flavor shots, have tried both 18mg and 6mg. 6mg was great right out of the gate and the 18mg was good to go after 7 days. The apple really comes through in the exhale. I received some Sticky Bun on my last order and was not impressed at first but after 7 days of steeping the taste has become quite a yummy vape. DH loves the bourbon with 2 flavor shots, he says he gets the full bourbon taste. It's one of his favorites.... We love us some MBV!
