Well for the first time in over 6 months I have got an awful taste of vapers tongue! UGH I forgot how awful this is! I don't get it...If anything I been drinking more then enough water cause Im on a diet. A gallon a day! (and let me tell ya that is hard to do!)

Oh well just have to drag out the nasty juices I didn't like and save my good stuff for later. Hopefully this won't last long.

The whipped cream smells like it should steep or at least air out a little... but damn it vapes good! Going onto the must re-order list!
Now to try it with a little Tiarmasu from Liqua, and maybe some Halo I couldn't stand before... this 30 ml aint going to last a week...

Yep I totally agree, it's really only on the inhale I can detect it. Kind of a short, sharp off flavor that goes away quickly. I'm a craft beer lover, and drink a lot of sour beers, which generally use lactobacillus and/or brettanomyces to produce the sour flavors. In some of the very strong sour beers there is sometimes a vinegar-like flavor that comes though. That flavor is what I am reminded of when I detect that "funk" similar to apple cider vinegar. That flavor is delicious (when in balance) in beer, in juice I don't know, but it reminds me of tasty beer enough that I don't find it offensive, so maybe that's why I detect the funk less than you.

I would prefer if it wasn't there though obviously. I'd imagine our samples were the same mix (80/20 pg/vg and 12mg nic with zero shots) so I don't think the ratios would have caused a more pronounced or a more subdued flavor. It could just be different personal tastes and all that jazz too I guess.

It's odd because I've tasted a similar flavor in other apple juices. I think it was Madvape's Top Vapor apple pie or apple cider or something that tasted a bit like MBV's red apple as far as the funky taste (although red apple is far better overall and has far less of that funky flavor) It must be something in a certain flavoring agent that causes it, most all the apple juices I've tried (which is a lot, I was on an apple kick awhile ago) either taste like apple jolly ranchers or they taste like fresh apples but have some sort of little off flavor. Maybe fresh apple flavor is just impossible to translate into an extract or flavoring without producing some off flavors.

Something else I just thought of, apple cider vinegar is made from fermenting alcoholic apple cider (converts alcohol into acids) Maybe the apple flavoring used is an actual alcohol based extract or something, and there is a slight bit of fermentation that goes on and produces those acids. Or maybe they add the acids to mimic the flavor of apples. I don't know. I'm sure it's something acid related or alcohol related though

Yes, mine is 12mg of nic, 80/20 mix of PG/VG. I have been shaking it quite a bit and tried it again today, actually right now as a matter of fact and it's better, that odd taste is still there, however it now reminds me more of the "Apple's Skin" like when I bite into a fresh apples that taste is apple but off until you actually get into the meat of it. I normally don't eat too many apples as I don't care much for the skin. lol But I can see that this "Funk" is now lighter and hopefully will dissipate over the next week or 2 of steeping as it does have a fresh apple flavor on exhale.

I've been letting them steep (caps on in the dark and shaking periodically as MBV suggested) this whole time. The chemical taste of freshly made juice is not as strong, but the intended flavors still aren't there! I got them all in 18mg, max VG with no flavor shots. Did I shoot myself in the foot by getting max VG AND no flavor shots? On a couple of them, I've tried hot water baths, lid off then off, and even tried strapping one to a fan (not recommended). Do I have to just wait it out (up to a month)? I'm not sure what to do at this point. PLEASE HELP!

Thanks UncleChuck, that's good to know in the future. So is there anything I can do with the batch I currently have? I'd hate to let this huge order go to waste, and I'm not keen on buying more flavoring in hopes that it might get better. Also, there were two flavors that turned out great for me: Moo Juice and Extreme Ice.
