Yay, my Mt. Baker is waiting for me at my local post office, so I'll have it this afternoon! I'm a complete newbie and I panicked a bit about the potential of running out of juice when there's two of us in one house who really really need to quit for imminent health reasons (a more detailed post about us/our situation is over here in the New Members Forum), so I went over to MBV and got a ton more juice. Really couldn't afford it but if it keeps us off analogs it'll be a financial break-even so I'm trying to feel more excited than guilty.

I have high hopes... and a spot cleared off of my bedroom shelf for steeping them. (My bedroom is like a cave, I keep blackout curtains on the window with the fan on and the door shut, so it's pretty much the coolest and darkest room in the house... even more so than the closets!)

I was planning on starting at 0 nic since I haven't smoked in over a month, but I've broken down and had a few pieces of nicotine gum in the past week to keep myself from bumming a smoke, so I figure slowly but surely and starting at 6 is better than ordering myself all 0 nic and ending up sneaking mom's 18mg or something desperate/dumb like that. We'll get there.

Steeping... How long is it worth it ect.

Depends on the flavoring(s) and personal taste. Some are great out of the mailbox,some much better in 4 or five days and some seem tojust keep getting better with time.

There are thousands of post on steeping. Visit the DIY Frum and perhaps do a little research.

Flavors with 0 nic. Do they turn out well with 0 nic? I have tried a few 0 nic menthol and... just not good.

Nic level should not really be a tatste factor. Nic gives thrat hit and some brands of Nic add a pepper taste at higher levels. Honestly I have never vaped flavored 0 Nic juice but have vaped 60 PG / 40 VG unflavored and it is a nice change to cleanse the palette.

A very mild MBV juice which my wife and I really enjoy is Blu Bacco. Their prices are really low so only $5 per 15ml to give so falaors a try and with each $15 plus order you get a free 15ml sample.

I find that toasted almond works for me great! It has that subtle nutty taste with just the barest hint of sweetness.

Sambuca I'm in the about the same place as you with the DIY flavors. You probably already know this but on the Ekowool the diameter is inside diameter so it is actually a bit thicker than regular silica wick. When I rewick my tanks with Ekowool I just use 1 regular wick for my top flavor wick instead of 2.

i absolutely did not know that

i figured 3mm silica was too thick, and as i prefer cotton, i figured ekowool would be better. would 2mm ekowool w/o flavor wick work? or even 1mm ekowool alone? (what do you use for flavor wick? i'm using yarn)

but but, i only like blue moo, moo juice, cotton candy, fruity juice, cinnamon roll, and bubblegum out of your list! WHERE IS YOUR WHIPPED CREAM!?
Report back on the gummy bear please? It gets really bad reviews that I've seen, too perfumey tasting. But I'm still curious.

I have been shaking my red-hot cinnamon for over a week (I dumped some to make headspace, and squeeze out the air to replenish the oxygen every day). The liquid is turning more yellow, and takes longer to separate (but is cloudy, and still spearates).

As a reminder for those who saw my last post on this issue, it is 18 mg/ml +2 @ 50/50 and is inducing coughing (and separating into two phases in the bottle).

I am probably going to order some of my ADV flavors, and am thinking about getting something to "fix" the red-hot.

Should I:

1) Order 18 mg/ml 50/50 unflavored and try and mix to dilute?

2) Order 18 mg/ml max VG and dilute (on the assumtion that the VG will help mute the burn)?

3) Ask for 50/50 of red hot with no shot as a sample and see how that works?

4) Just suck it up and buy this flavor from the local B&M (which is OUTSTANDING BTW).

5) Other.

Any and all advice is appreciated.

candy cane is one vape i don't typically inhale. i like the taste, but it hurts my throat. and i feel like every time i vape it, i get a headache, but the taste is mild enough for a "menthol" for me.

It seems that this theory assumes that the mixmasters creating MBV juices are super tasters, since they mix the sample flavors?

I would think the MBV crew would mix any new juice at average strength of 15-20% and then then flavor shots would be added as requested.

In non-vaping news, my 7 year old adopted Shih Tzu has had a tooth hanging and I haven't been able to pull it *shows teeth marks on wrist* I got home last night after 9PM and her jaw was swollen, woke the hubby to ask if she'd eaten... nothing - so now she has an abscess. Just came back from the vet $90 poorer and with a bottle of antibiotics to give her over the weekend. I'll take her in Monday at first light so she can be checked out under anesthesia. The vet said he'd pull the one tooth and then check the others and pull whatever was bad. I've never had a dog with bad teeth before, sure they got to be around 10 years old and lost one, but I thought she was still young :/ I guess the previous owners never fed her chewies, brushed her teeth, or gave her dry dog food to crunch on to clean her teeth :/ If a shot and a bottle of 3 days of drops was $90 what will anesthesia and teeth pulled be? Sheesh!

It's Friday: MBV juices have been steeping for ~48 hours now, I've got three tanks ready to go, and a slow day at the office is all but guaranteed. Time to put that trigger finger to work.

I'm back in Michigan after spending two weeks in Georgia with my Daddy. He died on September 17th of Cancer. I'm so grateful that I got to spend that time with him. I cared for him and we talked and laughed and really had a wonderful time. His passing was very easy and quick. He basically just went to sleep. I'm having a hard time with this. My Daddy raised me after my Mom split when I was 3. He was an amazing Father and I'm missing him something fierce. At least I got that time with him though. It meant the world to me.

Now... I'm vaping one tank of Cinn Roll/Blueberry and one tank of Thug Juice/Peach/Ruby Red Grapefruit juice. I rotate these two 'types' of flavors to keep my papillae (lol) happy. I'm putting together a pretty large order with MBV with two new spinner batteries, the iTaste MVP 2, 2 new Smoktech Glass/Metal tanks, Two aluminum drip tips and a LOAD of juices! Refilling my ADV's (cinn roll, blueberry, thug juice, peach, solar flare) and trying a bunch of new ones like.. pineapple, coconut, raspberry, grapple and a few others I can't remember.

I recently tried the Dark Chocolate and fell in love with it! Wow, rich and decadent. Can't vape it all day, but it is really nice by itself on occasion or mixed with some other flavors in small amounts. Delicious!

I also tried Spurberry... it's 'ok' for me. Not really special, but very good. Peach/Pineapple was a free sample and I can tell I'll like it more with +1 flavor shot. The Texas Sweet Tea is amazing after steeping for 2 weeks! Yummy! It also mixes well with fruit flavors.

I missed y'all! Trying to catch up, but it will take a while.

The hardest part is the wait.... I hate steeping new juice, I usually get overambitious and try right out of the box, get disappointed and forget about them.
