It's only one? I wonder if it's some left over flavor from another liquid?

yah.. no its just weird and i dunno why. i thought it was the coil at first since it was new. so i redid it, it looks perfect, heats up perfect, 1.4 just like my others, so no reason for it to be weird. i think it's just because im sick. it seems a little better now, its just light in flavor even though its a stronger flavor in it. i can't figure it out.

Opal- i hope tooth day goes well! i've had my fair share of dental work and don't care for it. i didn't try the garlic soup. i havent' really even been hungry :/ gotta make something today. i make a good veggie soup, but my bf hates it LOl

 My best friend works in IT - I try not to bother him too often with my computer woes, partly because everyone within a three state radius is constantly asking him for free labor, and partly cause I'm pretty good at troubleshooting and repairs myself and hate to admit defeat... so whenever I call him up with a reluctant, "G, my computer is misbehaving," his standard rejoinder is, "Have you hit it with a hammer yet?" To which I reply, "Nope, you'll have to bring yours," referring to the comically oversized hammer he keeps in his office, specifically to "keep his servers good and scared." His co-workers think we're both a little nuts.

One of my best friends - also in IT - claims that when I call him, he gets nervous - because it's *never* an easy fix.

I claim that when I call him, it's usually a very easy fix, and I'm just either in an area outside my expertise, or having a very bad case of missing the obvious.

We agree to disagree.

I've got some kind of caramel coffee loaded up too, and I'm equally unsure as to how it got there. The vapor gremlins must be busy today.

Vapor gremlins! I thought they were a myth!

Who fed them?

Good luck at the dentist, opal!

Seconded. I spent yesterday morning driving there and back again through snow to get to a dentist appointment. Fortunately, just a cleaning, and a nice clean bill of "no cavities, see you in six months".

I can tell that I don't want to wrangle software today. Therefore, I shall stop procrastinating and go wrangle software. May everyone's days go well, or at least improve!

Morning, everyone. Hope you're feeling better soon, Mia.

I broke down and upped my pred today, then spent two hours wondering why I felt like I was starving to death before I remembered I'd upped my pred. In the interim, tried to hold off the ravenousness with vaping, only to discover that *all* of my tanks had decided to be very temperamental at the same time... tight draw, reduced vapor, etc.

Ripped them all apart for cleaning and dryburning (which they shouldn't have needed, since I'd just done that a few hours before), put them all back together... didn't help.

Pulled them all apart and put new coils in.... MVP read they were all shorted out, which I knew couldn't be right.

Broke everything down again, made sure the coils were screwed in properly (yup) and that I hadn't done anything dumb (not this time), put it all back together... nothing.

Went outside and reminded myself why smoking is a bad plan. Came back in, pulled everything apart on all four tanks a fourth time, put it all back together... worked like a charm.

Shaping up to be one of *those* days. Still haven't figured out what the problem was, but as long as they're working now, I don't care all that much, either. :vapor:

Cheer up buddy :)
I've had that issue with my MVP before too. Turns out the center pin got a little pushed down, so I took a small flat-head screwdriver and pried up just a little; it works like a charm, have no trouble firing my attached devices now.

for any other MVPers too, do you charge the battery until the light goes out, or do you just charge it until it hits 4.4volts???? (and of course, by 4.4 volts i meant 4.2 )

 I have been known to explain politely to servers that I have both a bathtub and a toaster.

Regularly enough that "have you reminded it you have a toaster?" has become a completely normal question around these parts.

Fortunately, as we've been upgrading hardware and operating systems, I don't have to offer to introduce them to each other very often any more...

On topic: somehow I ended up with coffee and caramel coffee this morning. I don't remember filling either of these.

I tried that with mine, they simply informed my that they were impervious due to the UPS. We're now in a standoff.

Mine are aware that I have rights to remove hardware from the co-lo facility. And that if I have to go through that, I'm either going to recite vogon poetry or explain that I have acquired a set of certain skills...

Hold *my* data hostage, will you? @@!

Yep, I tried that, might've been part of the problem. I almost always have an adapter on mine, which tends to lessen that possibility, but who knows. One of my tanks has a slightly-too-short pin and doesn't always thread correctly on the first try, so at first I thought *that* was the problem, but that wouldn't explain all four of them going wonky on me, so it probably was the battery in some way shape or form. I'll be keeping a closer eye on the adapter in the next little while to make sure it's not getting torqued all the way down with all my tank switching.

Depends how impatient I'm feeling at that particular moment. :) Because of the way lithium ion batteries charge - more and more slowly as they near full - getting that last little bit of power into them can take forever. Most of the time I'll wait till the light goes out, but I've been known to pull it once it's been sitting at 4.2 for a while, too. Haven't seen any major difference in battery charge/performance from doing that, although you will get longer battery life in the *long* run by making sure it tops up all the way at least once a week or so.

Can't wait til my rootbeer shows up ..its been like 6 days but I understand completely about the moving etc. Will I need to steep the root beer , Seanchai? Hope u all have wonderful days!!

My root beer was absolutely good to go straight out of the mail - 50/50, 18mg, 50ml, and with a shot, too. It's gotten a little more mellow since then, but there was no "unsteeped" taste to it at any point. Enjoy!

hmmm...i was under the impression that lithium ion batteries last longer if you keep the charge between 40 and 90%.

i don't mind charging them all the way, i'm just curious as to whether or not that effects battery life.

your post implies the opposite of what i read. but it's not like i'm a stranger to confusion! ;)

MVP2s here, 3 of them and I charge them until the light goes out. Rotating 3 of them, they may last a total of 3 weeks, adding in a rotation of APVs, mechs, and the eGos/EVODs I take to work for stealth vaping.

No, both of these things are true at the same time. :) Li-ions don't like to stay topped up - the more often they're discharged, the longer they'll be able to get back up to that original full charge. At the same time though, if you *never* top them up, that 90% will become the new 'ceiling' more quickly than if you top them up all the way occasionally.

Basically, try not to let it sit around with a full charge on it - keep it between 40-90% if you're planning on setting it aside for a while - but if you're using it regularly, topping it up every week or so keeps it from "forgetting" that last ten percent is there.

aah, excellent information. thank you!

i only have 2, and there's no way they'll stay topped off. i'm only getting 600 - 700 puffs out of them.

There is a lot of confusion surrounding batteries. For example, I'm sure it's bad, but I never let my 18650's go below 3.9V, so they never get a full discharge cycle. I have tried in the past to study up on what best practices are, but between conflicting info, and just plain wrong info found in various locations, I just gave up. If I have to buy a new ~$8 18650 every few months, so be it.
