Not sure if it has been noticed or not but unos sig line says today is his one year off cigs day.

I tried to catch up but it's been 24 hrs and I only made it until 0800 Hawaii time today. Too busy. Stuck in an office that isn't my own (so I can't vape without sticking my head out the door) guarding bottles of urine (chain of custody thing). Not an ideal day. However, I mixed ecto cooler and whipped cream up in my wife's discarded protank (I was feeling quirky and needed something different) and it's absolutely awesome. Probably 5/8 ecto 3/8 whipped cream. Looks like I'm going to have to order a 50 of the ecto. Now I'm bummed I only have about 10 ml left.

Oh, I remember those days. I am *so* glad I don't have to worry about chain of custody any more.

Or supervising legal blood alcohol tests. I'm needle phobic. Our medics learned that they'd better have smelling salts nearby if I was going to have to watch a blood draw - because if I passed out, we had chain of custody issues. Only got near that point once, but that once was enough to end up with some friendly teasing for the next few months.

Guess I'm just not feelin' the love :(

Aw... Uno mas

No I gotcha. And I didn't mean to sound critical or challenging. I actually agree with you. Kids who defend themselves often get dubbed violent because the dubbers don't see all the nasty that lead up to that moment.

I had to deal with explaining to my kid that in school, no, it wasn't ok to dive into a fight to protect your friend who was getting the snot beat out of him. You had to go get an adult. This was after explaining that the school had a no tolerance policy for violence of any type, so fighting back at the bullies meant getting into just as much trouble as the bully.

Got to explain to him that I actually was fine with what he'd done, but that sometimes, you have to learn to play by the rules and beat the system from within, rather than acting on instinct. Made me cringe to have to explain both of those, but learning to figure out what the rules are and how to make conscious decisions about when to work within them, when to bend them, and when to accept that there will be consequences for breaking them that may not seem fair (or, frankly, *be* fair) is part of growing up.

I'm still annoyed about the "if you fight back against a bully you get punished too" rule, however.

Finally home. Warm. And grateful that the crazy cold weather is leaving us for now.

FYI as soon as someone posts that they have a shop (which for the life of me can't figure out why that tidbit wasn't just kept under wraps) they shoot themselves in the foot, no way at that point to avoid falling under the unregistered supplier rule...

I'm not goin' to post a long explanation, that was just a part of my headache last night and I am just hopin' to avoid one tonight. I would have liked to share my vapeversary with my friends, but I'm leanin' towards loggin' off for the evenin' now....

sorry, michael but all i saw was he said he wanted to open a shop some day. he doesn't actually have one that i know of. but of course i am vapid and could be wrong. :(

That's why the principles are important. Done correctly, a practitioner will learn that having the power to kick some .... doesn't always mean you use it. But knowing that you can makes a difference. It also builds emotional fortitude and character which changes the way a person carries his/her self which changes the way the world reacts to them. And, if worse comes to worst, the kid at the very least has the ability to evade physical confrontation. But really the magic is in how the practitioner presents themselves to the world. It's breaks the cycle from an angle that gives a bullied person the power and frees them from having to rely solely on an authority figure punishing the bully or protecting the kid from the bully.

EDIT: That said, I do believe that a kid should have the right to physically defend his/herself without being stigmatized by the school system. I just believe more strongly in the ability to change the way the world reacts you by strengthening yourself internally. Not to say that being bullied is ever the fault of the child, but it's going to feel that way for him or her.

The basic philosophy of any Good Martial Arts schools no matter the style is one that teaches you "How Not to Fight" it's not just a simple matter or skills learning, it's a manner of learning who you are and who you wish to be and how you wish to be seen. These are what I had instilled in the students when I was teaching them. When they have the respect for themselves and confidence within themselves this will translate to how they treat others and this also leads to them being respected for who they are.

Just jumping in here. Did a fast skip through the last couple hundred pages. You peeps are a chatty bunch!

I got the jist of the lousy weather, and I only just now got my water running again after a -7 night last night. I usually have 30-60 rescue dogs I am responsible for here, and the extreme cold makes it all very interesting. Should be in the 60's this weekend. YAY!

Also seen my share of bullies and mean women. All I can say is that I'd rather watch the bridges disappear in the rearview mirror, than burn them as I go.

Suffered more than my share of blah or worse juices. I've just recently reached the nirvana of having at least 3 juices I can stand to vape all day, and enough gear to feel comfortable that some junk battery or clearo won't spoil my day. By the way, anyone had a good experience with KGO mega VV batteries?

Tonight I am finally thawing out, in eager anticipation of a hot shower and a pizza. I got my first itaste vv V3 battery and 2 protank mini 2's in the mail today and got some 555 in one and some cinnamon roll in the other. Life is good!

I hear Jersey and gotta ask...where? Gone 40 years but was from Roselle Park, Union County

LBI, Ocean county

My only MRI was 3 seconds long so it wasn't too bad... or maybe that was the fact that was when my memory came back after the massive concussion. Either way, I only remember being pulled out of the thing & not the preceding several hours or how I managed to travel a couple hundred miles to even get there.

I thought you guys only communicated location via Exit numbers. Huh. :)

Pretty sure your brain MRI was more than 3 seconds!! Mine was excruciatingly long. You probably just don't remember that part on account of the concussion. On the exit thing, that's true, and a fact I never knew until I moved here. My home is actually Exit 63 off the Parkway. People have those oval stickers on their cars with exit numbers out here!!
