You know, because they have done so well at limiting access to "specific hardware" for things we are not supposed to talk about. There are more shops for that kind of stuff here than there are vape shops. And there are a lot of vape shops here.

I was just thinkin' about that we have a few here but Austin apparently is King in that regard :)

Austin is where my good friend lives that has terminal brain cancer.
She quit smoking two years ago then two months ago went back to it.
Her daughters gave her grief so she went to a B&M and got some juice
and an e-cig. I have no clue what kind, the only thing I know is it was
24mg juice. She still complained she wanted a smoke. I frankly told
her to smoke. But I also sent her some White Cloud Flings. She enjoyed
or is enjoying them (haven't heard anything lately). Haven't heard about
a nic fit lately but maybe she has her mind on other things or has forgotten
she smokes or whatever. The e-cig she bought at the B&M she misplaced.
If she goes back to wanting a cig I may ask you for a recommendation on
where she should go. Or something. Not quite sure what to do in her regard.
But haven't heard anything lately either.

Well, I thought I read somewhere that the FDA already tried to ban it and the courts came back and told them they couldn't. All the court said was that they COULD regulate it. It's a tricky business. Supposedly there is an application fee of something like $300,000.00 for Big Pharma to have the FDA consider a new drug for approval... The FDA gets all its money to operate from the companies who pay them to test and approve their drugs. So who is paying the FDA to consider regulating vaporizers?

The tricky part is that I am sure it is as complicated as our tax code, and we all know how bad that has gotten.

They did in fact seize a shipment under the pretext that they were medical delivery devices, then they were slapped and told they could not do this by the Supreme Court, that option is no longer available to them, they have to deem it under some other regulation and Tobacco products is what it would fall under as nicotine is extracted from tobacco.

I also think the emergence of vaporizers for, let's say, plant matter which for all practical purposes looks like our gear isn't a positive thing for the vapin' community :(
Agreed...I'm frankly happily surprised that I haven't seen them compared in the media...

Weird right after I posted this she messages and tells me she still has
some of the Flings left and is enjoying them as well as smoking. I told
her not to feel guilty if she wants to smoke go ahead.

You have them too? ummm, seahorse ? ;)
Omg. That nearly made me spit out my coffee. Seahorse. Lololol

The nicotine is the easiest for them to regulate and tax. Yes, there are even ways around that if you want to get into naturally extracted tobacco but at that point it gets a lot more complicated for the consumer. I'm already trying to keep one vapor from going back to cigarettes because he refuses to order online (says he doesn't like to wait) and finds the whole process a major hassle.

I was concerned a bit about the nicotine increasing my heart rate but I found that about half an hour after I stop vaping it drops back to normal, and it doesn't go that high while I am vaping. When my pain levels reach a 10, my heart rate is around 140-150 bpm. When I'm vaping heavily it is around 90.... Normal is around 75 for me (because I'm always in some pain).

Coffee raises it further than vaping does (around 105-110 about 15 minutes after a full cup)

I have an extremely bad habit of vaping until my heart races. Then I'm like oh, my body had enough nic now lol. Kinda no different than chain smoking, which would do the same to me. Maybe I should cut my nic down even more. Its a pita after 6mg tho. I'll have to either cut my juices myself or get Mowgli and unos to make me some. BC my diy are poopy.

But there are other legal uses that can be argued for those products. Probable or logical uses, no, but arguable in court. There's not a whole lot you can do with vape specific hardware other than vape. Actually nothing that I can think of. I'm not talking batteries & Kanthal, I mean cartos & cartotanks & RBA's. Sure my Provari is pretty sturdy, but I don't think it'll hold up as a personal defense device in court.

I am thinking that personal portable electronic aroma dispensers will become all the rage. Then there are those really nifty 510 connection removable flashlight heads that have the multiple posts so you can connect as many lights as you want. You can even have variable wattage and voltage for those varying lighting needs.

Help me out here.

I get a buzz at lunch, but I pretty much take one long 45 minute inhale on my lunches because I have been skipping my breaks. :sly: that is at 12mg -18mg. Beyond that the only time my heart races is if I forget to breathe because I put too much cotton
In my wick and restrict the airflow.

Or perhaps and optional adapter to get rid of that unwanted, unsightly hair, like that NO-NO thingy! Or perhaps a tooth brush attachment, could also become a personal defense device with the additional tazer adapter, so many possibilities.

That's part of my problem. I vape more than I breathe normally..
At least you get a vaping break. Hello 12 hours of vaping air!

There are 2 really good beginner/intermediate stores here.

All About Vapor is really good, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and they do not "oversell" and back their products, they back mfg warranties in the store.

Zee Cigs is great, more of store geared towards "the basics" type of vaper. Very knowledgeable, very helpful and approachable. Will not oversell.

Create-a-Cig is to be avoided like the plague, they will sell someone who has never vaped a mech and RDA, build a sub ohm coil for them, and send them home with no knowledge of battery safety. They carry only clones and junk.

Flavor Vapor is garbage, owned by kids, staffed by kids, it shows.

Phoenix Vapor is hit or miss.

Vapor Logic **Swoons** I have a serious mancrush on that shop. Not for the newbie or shallow pockets. They carry real deal and cater to the "upscale hobbyist" Lowest priced RDA there is 90$ lowest priced mech is 180$ They always have the Hammer in stock :) So mad at them for having the Taifun GT in stock as well.

The list goes on and on :)

2 places that I will send anyone that is interested and know they will leave well informed with what they need and not a bunch of extra garbage. All About Vapor or Zee Cigs :)

I hope things are going better for your friend.
