I'm an insanely compulsive tinkerer :) So really, it SHOULD have taken me about a month to break even on the cost of smokes vs cost of vapes, and another month or less to go well below considering I was spending $265+/mo on cigs. However... Last month I went a little nuts buying flavors, went through a metric crapton of cartos with trial and error on how to prime and fill them properly, etc. I must have burned at least 5 or 6, filled a number of them to the point of being near useless, and in an attempt to clean a few cartos, lost track of time and um... Yeah, the smell of boiled away water + vape juice + burning metal? Yeah. Bad. Just bad.

Good luck :) I'm at about a month and a half now. Bought my first ecig kit on February 17th, had my last analog on February 18th, and haven't looked back.

If you enjoy tinkering you would probably enjoy rebuildable attys. I wasn't sure if I would like them but I do, I love them! The wick I'm vaping right now has been in use since January and I'm only on my second coil in that same time frame. So much better than going through a carto a week like I was.

Just a quick reply for the peach and banana split. The banana split to me tasted a bit nutty after 2 weeks steeping so I have put it back to try later. The peach,I agree on the perfume part....don't quite get the strong gas smell you describe thou. At 2 weeks it was better, at 3 weeks I added a bit of whipped cream to a tank of it and it was pretty good. At 4 weeks I tried it plain but at about 4.8 volts and it really started to come out and the perfume is starting to fade. I ordered this with 1 xtra flavor shot which if I reorder I will not do. I'm going to let it steep til 6 or 7 weeks and try again but as stone said, who want's to wait lol. The banana split thou I think will get some whipped cream mixed in, I don't think I will reorder it as they have to many other desert flavors I like that I don't have to tinker with, just steep and puff. I am going to order the peach and apple rings thou on the next order in 15ml just to try out, along with about 8 others......I can't keep up lol.

Chocolate cherry trials update.

Custom mix of 1/2 black cherry, 1/4 sweet cream and 1/4 dark chocolate tastes really good. I let the bottle breathe briefly, stored for three days, and vaped from a T3 at about 3.7 volts. It is quite tasty, and I have a feeling it will improve over time. It doesn't taste anything like a chocolate covered cherry (by design), but more like a slice of Black Forest cake.

Actually, I should have named it Black Forest.

;)

Any medicinal taste from the cherry?

Any medicinal taste from the cherry?

I bet your choice of cherry would have an impact on this, and also the % you would want in the final mix.
I am vaping a chocolate cherry coconut right now that has maybe 25% MBV wild cherry (0 shots), which I think is pretty good. IMO 50% of this particular cherry flavor would overpower everything else.

I never thought to try sweet cream with it... think imma add that to mine next time in place of the coconut. Black Forest sounds delicious!

Interestingly enough, the black cherry flavor is subtle and does not taste medicinal in any way. Maybe the sweet cream and chocolate help with that, but I don't know. I get mostly choco-cream on inhale, and velvety black cherry on exhale.

Maybe James can whip up a batch and see if he likes it. If so, he can call it Black Forest, and see if others like it. If not, maybe he can tweak it a little. Or, maybe not. :D

James, are you there? ;)

Has anyone had their Grappler lately? It's a grape/apple mix. Is your Grappler clear or colored?

I got a 15ml bottle a while back and enjoyed it. As I remember it, that stuff was clear. I recently ordered a 50ml bottle with extra flavor shots and, even when cut with PG and VG, the new stuff is decidedly yellow. My original thought was that there was a mix up with the flavor, and I got a straight apple or something. It also seems to taste different, but I can't be entirely sure on that basis, as it's possible I mucked up the flavor profile with extra shots. Even if it was a mixup, no worries since they immediately offered store credit as soon as I asked about it. I'm just fishing for more info before I send in another order.

I have the same opinion about the peach...Too me it has kinda of a bitter taste? So far I have let it sit for 13 days...thinking maybe if I put some blueberry or banana in it that would make it work. I bought it cause I love the pineapple peach flavor.
Nope. You'd just be wasting either juice.

I've had peaches that were uncanny, I seriously thought they got actual peach juice to vape.

So it's possible to mimic it.

My 50 ml, 50/50, 18mg,+2 has a yellowish tint to it, and has darkened over time. It tastes wonderful and gives plenty of vapor.

Interesting info, thanks. I guess it's possible that the original clear one was kind of a tester batch or something. It did have the flavor name handwritten on it, as opposed to their usual printed labels.

I'm catching up reading all of this with Moo juice in my spinner - I literally adore Moo juice! I can't vape it all day, though - but, it makes me smile when I switch to it! :)

I just read some stuff about salted caramel, which is one of the one's I'm waiting for - am I best using that one in a tank? (I just got my first protank yesterday!) I'm slightly horrified to say that I think I'm the only one that didn't like cinnamon roll - I think I had my expectations set to too high. I let it steep for 2 weeks but it had a very "earthy" taste to me (if that makes sense at all). I guess I was expecting more sweet cinnamon then a.....dry (?) cinnamon.

I have more Vanilla Ice coming, which is another favorite, as well as Salt Water taffy - I can't wait to try that one, but I also have a peppermint that I love and have this idea of mixing the two....

I used to hoard craft supplies...now they are gathering dust and I'm hoarding juice... :D

Edit: yay! Not a minute after I posted this, my husband brought in the mail and my order from MBV was there - already have the caps off and in a dark cabinet. My freebie was "tropic thunder" though I still have Swedish Live from my last order to try. Love everything about shopping with MBV!

I buy the small bottles of sweetener from MBV cause I like my juice sweeter than most and that works out perfect :)

I'm with you on the cinnamon roll, to me it was dull, no sweetness at all. I had to give it away. It's ok though, because there's plenty that i love.

 That never occurred to me - what a great idea!! I will do that with my next order! I'm not one to normally like the super sweet ones (to my complete and utter surprise!) but this one needs a little something for me. While I will never be one to be a DIY'er, I do like to experiment a little bit, so I had thought about cutting it with a little vanilla ice or getting some buttercream and cutting it with that. mmmmm :)
