MTL rant

I know I am in the minority but we do exist. Tight draws reduced airflow is what people like myself look for. The ONE tank available at a good price point is the siren. Don't get me started on this new generation of "genesis " tanks. If you can't build it with mesh, guess what?? It is NOT a genesis atty. I don't mind paying for high end pieces, but the one place that is the MTL dream vendor has a HORRIBLE system. I have tried 3 different cards, my gf has tried 2 cards and even my mother.....avs mismatch failure. I use these cards EVERYDAY, and they used to work just fine until their "update " so now I have to search everywhere for high end MTL tanks and am SOL. The vaping world is leaving me behind. Please, someone give us the option for MTL tanks!!! Not everyone wants 15 10 mm air holes vaped at 400 watts!!! I guess I will have to hang on dearly to my tanks, because no one will ever make their kind again. SAD

A rant is to each their own, but to move forward, what toppers have you tried? Many people have posted reviews or personal experiences across the spectrum of toppers. Have you considered other styles?

Knowing a bit more info will help others to help you move forward.

Part of the reason i use a Kayfun lite plus V2.

Other reasons good flavor and plenty spare parts.

There are some good MTL tanks out there. Zen's kabuki is a good tank for the naughty coil, kayfun lite v2 is still a great tank. I just ordered a Calix v2, kayfun 5 and a couple kayfun mini v3. If you want a dripper, the vertex v2 is my go to RDA.

Kayfun lite and kayfun monster are my go to tanks and they are the oldest in my collection. I'm a mtl vaper but I do at times switch. They're simplicity is what I love!

Thanks for the replies, I typically use my Origen tanks 6 ml and 4 ml and use mesh wicks. I want a nice high end cotton topper, but can't find anyplace that sells them apart from vapinart, and they are the vendor that wont accept payment. Anyone know where I can get a kayfun mini v3?? I have the cash just don't have the place to purchase from

Does it have to be high end or does it just have to give the taste? What is the final result that you want? Many opportunities in the RTA world. They are slower to come out because the number of power-vapers is prevalent.

But, there are many in the recent past that still do their job quite well. If you want mega clouds, say it. If it is flavor chasing, say so. To ask and get answers is just a good way to narrow your searches down. Also, many have clones (plural) and one of those clones is probably as good as, or even better than an original.

Cigs were so boring; regular, menthol, regular or menthol, etc. Vaping is a much broader world with many options to consider.

The KF v5 has four air settings. In the "airiness" scale of 1 to 10, my experience is it will do a low of 1.5 and up to 6.5. Pretty flexible, good design. For a flavor atty, I look at the atomizer chamber. Is it small and tight to avoid excess air?

It's been compared to the lite v2 full open on the lowest setting. I'll know more when I get mine but some have wanted it tighter so Svoemesto also has a restricter kit for those that want a tighter draw than it comes with. I've been told that with the restricter kit you can get it as tight as the old cartos were. I may have to go direct to Svoemesto for my kfm3 so I'll grab a restricter kit as well.

Restricted, flavor throat hit like a punch. I just found the kayfun v3 at creme de vape in the U.K. It will take forever to get to the states but it seems to be what I'm looking for. I don't buy clones cu I have had too many " get what you pay for" moments

GP Spheroid -

There is the beloved v3 version that is a MTL'ers dream but must use the "fluff" - GP Spheroid version 3

Then there is the v4 version - this is the one I would recommend to someone new to GP Spheroid. Its has adjustable air-flow as well as you can use without fluff. Simple single coil and the most excellent flavor. GP Spheroid version 4

Origen Little 16 Tank - I see you don't care for clones but this tank is AMAZING. That is all.

As far as I'm concerned - and I am a MTL'er - these are the only two tanks worth a dam. I love the form factor of both - 16mm so I can put them on a 14500 (think Piccoloid/Provape-1/ego ONE battery). They look stellar on a Provari Mini too

It can with the optional set of airhole-reducers, the smallest of which gives a really nice tight MTL. I got the reducers because the standard airhole is 3mm or 3.2mm i.e. it's rubbish for anything other than a loose draw. Alas, my Kayfun 5 has been retired in favour of the Atmizoo Keras. It's easier to wick and you can dial it in from the tightest draw you can imagine to a restricted lung inhale.

Since we seem to agree no MTL quite often, I'm curious if you've tried the Merlin Mini by Augvape? I've heard great things about it even for MTL but didn't expect it since the chamber size is quite large for a MTL tank.

Ended up getting a kayfun mini v3....great MTL. My girlfriend was also kind enough to replace my Russian 91 brushed bless her heart. Funny thing though, I dropped my nic and started lung inhales, me likes!!! Now I just need to snatch up as many 22mm tanks as I can, 24 and 25 won't look good on any of my mods
