hi I have been vaping for a while now and really enjoy my rdas at 110 watts or so with 3mg eliquid but it chews through the juice... 30-40 mls per day I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good rebuildable mtl rda and maybe let me know some coil options, Nic strength and wattages I may find satisfying. Any input would be appreciated

There are two schools of thought on how to get around the DL MPG problem. One is DIY. It can dramatically drop juice cost by an order of magnitude or more.

The other, the one you are choosing, is go MTL. There is airy MTL and tight MTL which refers to the amount suction needed to draw air into the device. Cigarettes are really tight, and some users like a MTL that is even tighter than a regular cig.

A good MTL RDA with a lot of variability in its design is the berserker MTL RDA. The thing is tiny. 16mm, and it’s a squonker. You can use it non squonk though. It’s got a LOT of draw options. Much more than most attys. There aren’t just hole variances but different blocks you can use to mess with airflow. Probably need to watch a video. It’s got really tight o-rings on the barrel so be sure to keep em lubed. A bit of juice will work. I’ve been looking at something like vasaline lately though

Vaseline? Yuk! There is a food safe silicone grease that may be an alternative.?

There are several good MTL RDAs around:
    - Berserker MTL RDA, 18mm (I use and like this for dripping: edit: authentic seems discontinued, but there are clones on FT)
    - Etna MTL RDA, 18mm (I use and like this one for squonking)
    - Galaxies MTL RDA, 22mm (I use and like this one for squonking)
    - Cthulhu 1928 MTL RDA, 22mm (I use and like this one for dripping)
    - Ammit MTL RDA, 22mm (I didn't get along with this one and gave it away, but many like it)

The 1928 might be a good option for you to try, it has 5 airflow positions on the cap (from a not too tight MTL to restricted DL), smooth airflow, a generous juice well, and is reasonably leak resistant. Here's a decent review:

I mostly use simple round wire coils in the 0.8 to 1.0 ohm range on mech/unregulated mods. There are other options though -- VandyVape has a few "superfine" fused clapton options (either premade coils, or wire spools) that can perform well at higher ohm MTL levels.

For nic, I use 10mg/ml 50:50, but, obviously, you'll have to find your own nic-level that provides the throat hit and nic satisfaction that works for you at MTL levels.

There's a lot to like there ... well designed, well machined, easy to build on, and a good price for an authentic RDA (about 20 bucks on FT). I've had one (black) for about a month now with zero issues (including no o-ring issues) and will be ordering a second (SS) soon ... maybe even ... yup, done.

I know your looking for a mtl dripper and if you do wind up purchasing that and find your definitely enjoying this mtl experience , perhaps you also might enjoy a mtl rta....there are alot of options there and a bit more convenient. Some are the kayfuns, perhaps the v5 is a good option for you, the kayfun prime, darvw, doggy style, and a lot more.....40mls is quite a lot of juice and think it's a good option to increase nic to cut down and it gives your lungs a break for sure...not sure on drippers, but in rtas, 12 to 18mg should cut down your consumption to at least 10mls per day, which puts your daily nic intake around the same..so it's really a win win if it works, the same daily nic intake, but inhaling 1/4 of the vapor....good luck

Tanks are lovely things that enable a person to push barricades and cars out of the way, and I have wanted one for a long time.

They are also lovely objects that enable you to enclose and vape eliquid and well, I find them delightful. RBAs are okay.

But I will say.... Don't start with a BERSERKER from like, sub0hm vaping. Holy goodness, that is one of the most restricted suckers on the market. I don't vape mine much because frankly, the amount of suction requires detaches my dentures.

I would go something more middle of the road personally, like, well, IDK quite what to suggest but whatever the equivalent of a Siren V2 or a Doggy style might be, airflow wise.

Seriously do not start with the Berserker. MTL folks love them, I don't think it should be YOUR MTL object quite yet, though.

wondering if anyone could suggest a good rebuildable mtl rda
I saw this the other day, could give it a try:
$7.89 Drop Solo Styled RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - stainless steel / 22mm diameter / w/ BF pin at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
When you see a RDA with a 810 drip tip, it tells me it's capable of being a cloud machine. Just about any RDA will use juice if you vape sub ohm'g at high watts.
I'm vaping a Magma RDA at 6.1 w/2.6 ohms,@ZERO nic, VG only and use maybe 2-3 ml a day.
re Do you sub ohm or non sub ohm?

Going from 110W to MTL is a big step all at once. I used to vape duals at around 90W all the time. Now I use a lot of single coil DL RDA/RTAs at around 30-40w I get nice clouds and usually go through 8-10 ml a day. I also have a salt mod with a Hastur Mini at 15W. I'd give the middle ground a try. I like my Gear RTAs, Serpent SMM, Advken Gorge, and Gas Mods GR1 Nixon and Nova. I also like the Dead Rabbit SQ. The only MTL RDA I have is the Ammit and I like it. I like my Hastur Mini but the build deck is really tiny at least to me.

A lot of folks like the Recurve, and Wasp Nano also.

This is today's load out, dual or triple coil except for the one on the far right.

It's a BSKR V1.5 with a 6 wrap 26ga N90 coil at 18W on the Aegis. (4300mAh 26650, battery life for days. ;) ) I run it with Salts for the times it is inconvenient to use regular rigs.

Going back to MTL vaping takes getting used to, I usually slipstream the vape from the BSKR by keeping the corner of my mouth open a little bit for a more DL type of drag.

That Kodama rig is awesome!

It was the metal tank and drip tip that sold me on the BSKR over the Hastur.
Thanks:) That setup stays home. I am hanging out around the house now so that is my rotation ATM. That tank is awesome! They should make more metal bodied tanks. I already broke 1 glass on my Hastur:(.

I'd still manage to scratch a stabwood rig at home...

For MTL gear I love metal tanks, ran the Rose V2, Kayfun 3.1 and 4 all metal back in the day. I think they stopped including them as people complained about not being able to see the juice level... It's a MTL tank, you're not burning through 6ml's with a coffee like you do on the others. :vapor:

Yeah I fill the 2ml tank on the Hastur and I am good for a couple days. If I fill it every day there is no way I can see running out. I remember a lot of old all stainless tanks. I think they look great and so much more durable. I have a few Stabwood mods. I take the Lunas out with me and they have held up great. I am mostly worried about dropping and cracking them. If you scratched it you could sand it a bit and polish it and good as new.
