Need to explain that I'm a special case at security. I'm a mass of implanted metal on my left side, including an implanted tens unit in my left .... cheek so it takes forever for me to clear the scanning with the hand wand and TSA feeling me up and down, and sideways.

Flew to Connecticut Monday AM and back to Atl Tuesday evening. Went with 5 batteries, lots of cartos and cases along with a PCC. On the way from Atl, (because it's such a hassle, I even take off my belt). Forgot the shorties battery in my shirt pocket.

Not a problem at all with any of the stuff in my bag, or in my coat pockets. TSA got a beep on my breast pocket. OMG I forgot a battery. Not bad enough that I beeped 2 spots on my leg, one on my .... one at my belly button and one in my back opposite my belly button, now I beeped on my shirt pocket. Took the shorty black batt out and promptly dropped it and it rolled under the table. After my usual ordeal, (they have no idea how to handle someone with this much metal INSIDE) the TSA agent fished the batt out from under the table. Obviously he had never seen anything like that before and the look on his face was priceless. BUT, he didn't ask me to demonstrate it after I told him in was a battery for an electronic cigarette.

He did ask for a V4L card though.

Bottom line there is there was no problem with TSA.

Stealth vaped, as much as I could, at the airport in Hartford too since they don't have a place for smokers. Long wait for the flight. Nobody said a word except for my traveling companion. He was suprised nobody said anything about the fact I looked like I was on fire once or twice, I was facing a window and all he said he saw was smoke raising from my head.

I think the word is out with the TSA...I traveled recently with no problems.Just to be sure, tho, I packed extras in my checked bag with a note and a card. I'm used to doing this because I'm an artist and often travel with oil paints and soft pastels. I always attach a polite note and explanation of materials...just in case. Works wonders!

I flew to Florida the day after the most recent terrorist scare. I had about 8 batteries and maybe 20 carts in my carry on. A 20ml and 3 5ml's of juice, along with a gift of a few batts and 15 carts for my friend in my suitcase. I didn't get an eyebrow raise or even a question about any of it.

I also stealth vaped happily on the plane ride from Boston and then vaped openly on the plane ride back to Boston.

The only issue I had with TSA was when the underwire in my bra set off the metal detector (yeah, really.). Oh, and they were all about inspecting my laptop. on the Boston side.

You guys did great! The Orlando airport security, a few years ago, had a real problem with my slide on shoes, it was a whole production of re-xraying them and passing them through some kind of sniffer thing....Please! I look like a grandma, not a plane bomber! I didn't even vape back then...geesh, they would probably detain me because e-cigs now.
Thanks, but I will drive from now on!

I went to a theme park over the holiday. Only thing I threw into the metal security basket was my auto/shorty with a paralament cart as I passed through the detector. Guy on the other end grabs the e-cig, holds it up in wonderment, and I say to him..."It's an electronic-cigarette". He immediately smiles and says.. Oh yeah, I've heard of these, these things are so cool. I would have stayed to convert him, but I was on a father/son Magic Mountain moment with my sons, and dang'it, we wanted to do some rollercoasting!!!

Take care if you are leaving the US. I just returned from a business trip to Calgary this evening. NO ROLLER BAGS ARE ALLOWED ON BOARD. If you have a laptop in a brief case you may take that on board. If your laptop is in a backpack you must remove it and check the backpack?!?!
Absolutely everything in my briefcase was removed and examined.... now for the good news. I had 4 assembled KR808's in my case and they ran each through their swabbing machine without further question.
Every person going through security received a pat down from the RCMP's and all purses and brief cases were completely examined.
I had an afternoon flight on a Wed, there were only 10 or 12 people in front of me in the security line. From the time I got to the line to the time I was headed to my gate was just over 35 minutes.
Welcome to Earth everybody!

definitely a plus.

i flew from dulles (IAD, washington DC) to ATL yesterday. took only carryons as it's just a 4 day visit to a friend. had... maybe 5 bats, 2 PTs, ~20 carts (not all for me over four days, but i am carrying-for-conversions now, lol), 3 or 4 5 ml bottles of juice. juice in the liquids bag, of course. most of the other gear packed in a soft sided carrying case, and the PCC & some extras in my purse. zero probs at security, not a flicker of interest. stealthed in the airport and on the plane, tho i wouldn't say i was particularly stealthy... i didn't go for ginourmous vape clouds, but other than that. oh, and wore my (now silver) leaford lanyard.

i think my non-smoking bestie that i'm visiting is enjoying me vaping instead of smoking. :D she doesn't mind smoking but i don't spend half the visit out on the balcony, and she likes the slight fragrance of the smilin' special vapor. :D

oh, and gotta say, it was just fantastic to leisurely make my way to the gate, browsing in shops, etc, vs. running all over the freakin airport looking for a place to smoke and trying to calculate how long it'd take me to get to the gate, and then chainsmoking 4 or 5 cigs out of anxiety re: 2 whole hours of not-smoking on the plane. *rolls eyes* and of course, the flight itself was much less stressful. amazing how much quicker 2 hours goes when i'm not having a not-smoking-fit.

Last time I flew was from Athens to ATL to Houston to Corpus Christi for Thanksgiving. I slapped on a nicotine patch an hour before I got on the first plane, found a smoking bar in ATL (near Gate D-5 if I recall) and chain smoked a few before my next flight. Couldn't wait to get to my destination and light up a real one and rip that stupid patch off my arm, but it did help.

Next time will be no problem with my e-cig and a little stealth vaping ;)
