and lastly if i go with VZ super concentrate black and mild, how the heck do i mix it to 40%? That seems absurd when its supposed to be mixed 1-3%.... sorry for all the questions!

From what I've gathered, all the flavorings add up to 100%... you take 15% of THIS and add it to 10ml of nic base. It was covered a few posts/pages back... I was wondering the same thing, too!

would it not be 0.6ml? it would be 4ml in 10ml of the flavor alone.. but at 15% in a 10ml nic base it would come out to 0.6ml I believe?

EDIT: Yeah it would be:

Black and Mile Plus 0.6ml
Cinnamon Danish Swirl 0.3ml
Almond oil 0.3ml
Coconut 0.12ml
Graham Cracker 0.12ml
Vinegar 0.09ml

(roughly) added to 10ml nic base

I think the "Black and Mile" from ecigexpress is exclusive to that vendor, but others say it's identical to the "Black Cigar" from VZ; or at least the "Black Cigar" would do as a substitute.

The 40% means 40% of the 15% total flavor; so by my calculation that would be 6ml per 100ml recipe or .06ml per 10ml recipe.

Thanks,

Norman

is it definitely the same as ecigexpress's?? Because im trying to order black and mile and thats gone too now

EDIT: OK i've got everything ordered except the tobacco base and coconut. Where can i get this elusive black mile since ecigexpress is out?

VZs is Black Cigar. You have to get someone who knows the percentages because you can't use Black and Mile at 40% either they are super concentrated flavors.

Man shipping from four different vendors to put this together!!

That's why I wish someone could come up with a suitable substitution for that Black and Mile using a TFA blend. Firstly, B&M is a little high priced for my tastes. And the multiple accounts means multiple shipping charges as bogeyjim stated. By the time I get all the "preferred" flavors purchased and shipped, I may as well just buy the real stuff.

Any suggestions?

Yeah I was surprised at the shipping cost of all this stuff... I spent about $80 getting everything I needed to make this #7 clone.. and taking a gamble with replacing Black Mile Plus with the regular kind.

The way I see it, though.. is if I really like this juice I will order a lot of the flavors to make the shipping cost worth it.. then I'll have delicious juice at a much cheaper rate!
I'm very glad I got all this flavor stuff, though... really excited to start DIY.. I've been meaning to forever now, just never got around to it.

I'm sure it does as its basically 100% VG. Unless you make it differently with a higher amount of PG.

It's not really the flavors that gunk it up so much as the VG content.

Interesting.. I always heard it was something in the Boba's Bounty that gunks coils up even faster than just VG. Especially darker colored flavors.

I made SloHand's #7 a few days ago. My nic was in a base of 100% VG and I used unflavored VG to finish the total volume. The only PG came from the flavorings. According to my e-juice calculator, the final mix is approximately 85.5% VG.

It's not similar to Boba's from what I remember, but it's been well over a year since I've tried Boba's, so I mistrust my taste buds and memory equally.

I also detect more of the Cinnamon Danish Swirl than I thought I would when combined with the other flavorings involved. I'm wondering if these notes will fade a bit more into the background after steeping for a couple of weeks or more.

I'm tempted to get my hands on some Acetyl Pyrazine to add to the mix, just for curiosity's sake.

Fun experiment! I'm going to share a few bottles with friends and get their feedback. :thumb:
