This is exciting stuff. I've been making all the clones and have pretty much all of Wizardlabs flavors and some more. Eddie if you'd like to PM me your recipe, I can probably make this asap. Is there a fruit flavor in your recipe? When I taste a drop of BB it's got a fruity soda flavor which at one point I thought was root beer.

Also, today I was adding some chocolate to my experiments and the smell had that chocolate note of BB on exhale.

I just had a mad crazy thought after.reading those quotes from Ben again. He said a "hardy tobacco with sweet undertones". That would suggest a brightleaf tobacco if Im not mistaken. And there were a few virginia types and turkish types available back then. I wonder if I took honey flue cured, golden virginia, and.some TA along with cinnamon danish and graham cracker what might happen? I never thought of that before now as far as the 3 tobaccos he refers to.

Ill whip up a batch tomorrow night just for curiousity sake. I think its definitely an idea. Those tobaccos together would have all the tobacco notes in bobas I think sans any chocolate type of flavor which ben does say is not in bobas.

Edit... bah im outta HFC.... grrrr. Another order to place.

Ya flex, Ive been down that road. Even checked out the way back machine version of it from back in 2009. Its really hard to tell what flavors are in vg and what arent on their web site. Im gonna look again today, but last I was there i just get frustrated.

I have real problem with web sites that are poorly organized and lack good product descriptions and historically DIY flavor shack is both. I designed too many web sites years ago and bad/lazy design kinda angers me.... lol.

Meh... they redesigned and its better over there but still irks me. Only the category for vg flavorings doesnt have any tobaccos listed now, or the tobacco category doesnt say what the flavoring base is.... stuff like that makes it hard to tell what's what.

I think the tobaccco flavors maybe coming from DIY Flavor Shack. DIY TOBACCO FLAVORINGS

Maybe the Heavenly Tobacco, Holy-Holy Grail RY4, and Turkish.

I've ordered all their tobaccos and none taste like Boba's imo. Their Holy Holy is exactly like TFA RY4 Double, which is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much caramel. The turkish is pretty good, but too 'leafy' to be part of Boba's. Heavenly is nothing like Boba's, it's this sort of tropical island hardly-even-tobacco thing.

I found better luck with some of the Hangsen flavorings, especially given that they are all VG based and they were also around when Ben started mixing. He even was quoted as saying that he initially ordered all of his tobaccos from China when he lived in South Korea or something along those lines. Don't take my word for it though, order some of the DIYFS stuff and see what you think personally.

I recall a DIYer having emailed Hangsen about their base a while ago. They said they were all PG-free, and it was around that time I placed a large order of Hangsen tobaccos. Most of them behave VG-ish in the syringe, very thick.

Okay, so, can anyone who tested Mr. Adams' recipe chime in? Not necessarily to expose the recipe, rather, to validate the claim that it truly resembles Boba's?

^^^what he said^^^ -Until I hear positive things, I will continue to enjoy Buffaloguy's recipe. I am vaping this right now. :) I have never even tried real Boba's but this thread intrigues me, bigtime!

You guys are rockstars in my book. I finally caught up on all the post from way way back and what a journey its been. I bought a 100ml back in 7/2013 and it still taste good to me just not as strong. I've got about 30ml left. My challenge with the clones is that I don't get coconut at all. I strictly use protanks. I discovered that vaping BB goes well with eating Blackberry pie. :)

Eddie- Thanks again for sending me your recipe and I'm researching where to get those flavors. I'll take a stab at it with what I have on hand.

I have an order for the remaining ingredients. When they arrive, I will mix a couple test batches (as Mr Adams has given me good pointers) and report here. I think they will require a steep, but it can't remember how long, if any, he suggested.

I think levitas and slohand should get the recipe as well, they contributed a lot in this thread.

As much as I appreciate the gesture, it's not necessary. I'm extremely skeptical of the recipe as it is, and I don't believe that I deserve special treatment. If it's a good recipe, and the originator wishes to share with everyone, so be it. Otherwise, I'm content with the real deal :)

If it requires steeping, then I want nothing to do with it ;) I never steep my blends, bought or made. Boba's doesn't need it. If this blend does... Well, you get the point.

Either way, I'm certainly interested in reading your results.

I have never tasted anything different by steeping either, but I was under the impression that the real deal is long prepared before shipping. I have had many alcohol and soap flavors in juices from big companies before, and no amount of waiting with or without caps has changed them in any way. However, for the purpose of reviewing someone else's recipe, I will follow their recommendations. As I stated before, I do not recall whether, or for how long, he recommended steeping. I will go through the messages and find out. I hope to have the supplies this week, so I may be able to report something very soon.

Hangsen flavoring uses triacetin(spelling?) as a carrier...
