Hope this is the right forum since I'm not sure where to place my question. Why does my e-juice always taste the best just before my batteries are die?

Can happen with any tank and coil AND on various mods. Today it's my Baby with GT4 coil ohming at .17 @44w on Revenger, (pink) Samsung INR 18650s 3.7 3000 mAh. I'm driving and all the sudden my e-juice gets supper yummy and I look when I fire and it says 2.77v battery bars flash but still can fire.

So its like I always know when I need to change batteries without looking at battery meters because the taste changes. I know it happens with Brown LGs, Purple eFest, and Pink Samsungs. I have one set of green Sonys <--idk? but not sure if it happens with them. I don't use them as much.

Pop two fresh in and juices aren't quite as yummy. Its a slight, but noticeable difference. It drives me crazy and no one Ive asked can tell me why it happens. I actually wish it was like this all the time.

What causes this?

Well funny you mention wattage because it seems im backwards to other people. On fresh batteries I have to increase wattage usually 2 or 3 watts46/47w, then after a tank or so start backing it down. But even with low battery, can't go much lower than 42w or the flavor just mutes.

I figure it's one of two things, some super scientific electrical thing or my odd olfactory issue. Maybe a combination of.

I'm going with Murphy's Law, or maybe a corollary or derivative thereof.

I totally get e-liqs taste different in different setups, wattage etc... I prefer citrus at higher watts than the desert bakeries. This is something different...

I know it has to do with the battery. Was just hoping for an exact reason why because the display on my mod gives no indication, other than 2 batt boxes flashing. All the other #s displayed look normal. This only happens for a short time then I have to change batteries.

It also allows me to take longer draws. I just wish it was like that all the time vs just when Batts are dying. Lowering wattage won't recreate the experience with the same setup/juice.

My point was to lower the wattage you start at since you found your "Sweet Spot" voltage try to find that spot when you start vaping.

Sorry but lowering wattage has to recreate what you are experiencing at the end of a dead battery, nothing else makes any sense. You just must hate to change batteries. Try one with a higher CDR.

2.77 volts is pretty low to be running a battery down. At 2.5 volts the battery can start to take on internal damage (over discharge); continued usage in this matter is harmful and will likely limit the life expectancy of the battery.

Most regulated mod's cutoff is around 3.2 - 3.4 volts.

I believe the 2.77 volts is applied voltage to get to his desired wattage. He was pointing out that the applied voltage shown is still the same as a fully charged battery.

eta: I suspect the issue has something to do with how the regulator bucks the voltage. With a fully charged battery the regulator would have to work harder to drop the voltage to 2.77, with a low battery the regulation may be a bit smoother, just a guess.
